The Golden Greek part 10: Odysseus V1 vs. Odysseus V2 - YouTube

According to this video there are three small orings. Two on the bottom where the post is (one of them is plastic), and then a third small oring that sits inside the ceramic housing. If this is the case, what type of oring goes on the inside of the ceramic as my ody did not have this fresh out of the box. Please advise.

A number 60 oring from lowe's seems to do the job btw. It fits nicely down in the ceramic and using a precision screwdriver, everything is nice and snug with no steel on porcelain action that had me worried about the porcelain cracking as well. I was a little disappointed to get only ONE r/nr wire. I wish we could have received a few feet of each separately to make more than one coil. Oh well....

Thank you, Craftsmath! I'll go hit up Lowe's and see if they have it. The single wire would not have been a downer if we knew ahead of time that's what it was coming with. The folks that already own Ody's have spools of wire at the ready. Us new owners got kinda caught off guard is all. I figured the V1 came with enough wire to make 6-10 coils, why would the new one be any different?

Bruce: Thanks for putting up the o-ring on your site. Could those of us that have Penelope's coming get our missing o-ring with that order rather than having to pay to ship it?

No problem. You can find them in the plumbing section. They come in packs of 10 if I remember correctly. Does the trick.

Zober please PM me before the end of the weekend so I can go in on monday and fix your issue.

Yes guys sorry about the o-rings Please check the site to get your o-rings sent to ya.

We will work hard to send them all out right away.

I went to COV's website to obtain that "free" missing o-ring only to be faced with a $3-6 shipping charge to get it. No thanks... I would have picked up some supplies for these tanks, and had the o-ring thrown in, but none of the needed wick or wire parts are in stock. Oh well.

#60 (My Lowes didn't have that number) or #0534 o-ring from Lowes = 53 cents....for 2! Fits perfectly. Problem solved.

Thanks again, Craftmath!

Glad you found one. I'm sure there are several small orings that will fit it. So now we have two option... #60oring or #0534. Making sure I jot this down, because that oring is bound to get lost sometime in this lifetime. :)

Thanks for the O-ring tip! Lowes didn't carry the #60, but the other one that was suggested seems to fit just fine :) Thanks again!
