Missing battery!! I think it is in the wash!

OMGoshness!!! I think my missing battery is in the washing machine!!! Crap!!



yeppers! Found it in the bottom of the washing machine! Very clean by the way! I can't afford a new battery right now!

I sympathize with you. I check every pocket before putting stuff in the wash and yet it always seems like something ends up in the wash.

Let it sit upside down for a day- check the voltage- might be a goner, but maybe not.

I guess I will let it dry out. Rainy here today so may wait a couple of days. Meantime I guess I will get an old one out of the drawer.

That is very unfortunate! This is one of those times where I wished I had a bad to open it up and see if maybe it could be properly dried, new shrink tubed and used. With all the caution that is about batteries in our new hobby/addiction, I think further research would be warranted. With the emphasis on safety for me, it would find a recycle bin after I satisfied my curiosity.

put it in a bag of rice overnight, then check the voltage in the morning, if its an imr it should be ok
I once put a bluetooth headset through the wash and save it with rice
