#1 My sister saw an advertisement for the Blu E-cig and had been talking about cutting down or quitting analogs so I went and bought her a blu kit. I ended up buying a Blu disposable at that time also and liked it ended up buying my self a blu kit also. It seems I just jumped right in and did very little research. The Blu just didn't do it for me tho after awhile batteries died to quickly. Then I found the Mistic E-cig at walmart and vaped them then I did a bit of research and found you could refill the carts. Then I found a Mall Kiosk and way over paid for a Firefly that I hated at that point but did find liquids that I could refill my carts with again Way way over priced LOL. Then about 2 weeks ago I hooked up with a friend I hadn't talked to in a while and found out he was a vaper and he refered me to EFC and some other sites to check it all out. Now I couldnt be happier.

My firefly with a boge xl sr cart which actually has a Mister E flavor in it Cherry Vaniilla throwback cola. Very nice flavor really enjoying this one.
And my Ego 900mah pass-through with side fill tank which has a banana menthol in it right now. These are my only pv's at the moment but I am going to Vapecon in Oct. So I will end up with something from there if I don't end up ordering a ProVari before then.

I first started vaping 3 months ago when I was at the flea market with my honey. We saw a booth that said E-Smokers. I stopped to talk to the guy and ask if these were any better then the gas station ones. He put in a rubber tip and added some menthol and let me try it out....it blew me away!!! I bought the EGO W kit....for way more money then I later found it for on the internet, but It got me vaping so it was worth every penny! After I got home is when I started looking up this vaping stuff and found ECF!!! It's been my home ever since, I have found some of the most amazing people here to call my friends :)

A, A
my name is Jason I have been smoking normally cigarettes

for about 10 years prior to learning about e-cigs and i thought id

share a lil about what my experience has been and why.
First off I'm asthmatic and never could even be around people smoking

without breathing issues or even inhale when i did try them,
But after hanging out with the smoker crowds in school and such i

needed a way to calm it so i started picking up one of the worst for

atleast most people Djarum Blacks a clove based cigaret with a

sweet flavor on the filter led from that after being able to inhale

to Cheyenne Extreme menthols which at times even seemed to HELP my

asthma when having issues so i smoked those for most the time just

to be around my fiance.

But about a year ago a good friend I got a house with had purchased a

Volcano inferno kit he had learned about from a company he worked

through that had a couple sets to try dismantle and play with, he

then purchased ahit with 2 batteries a t tank and a atty after a bit

when we moved in together he handed me one to try and the rest is the

real story..

So i started with a Ego style USB passthrough 650 mah battery and a

2 ohm atty soon after purchasing a carto tank the new product they

were releasing and loved it with only RY4 menthol PG flavors i was

addicted so to speak.

i soon after i was reading articles and safety issues reviews and

seeing COUNTLESS reports of being unsafe and more articles debunking

them we all hear the exploding ecig issue and most us know the truth

on that by now.
I also read some old articles in my local paper The Grand Rapids

Press and learned about a local man that had a buisness that sounded

right up my alley his names was Dan the owner of Mr-E-Liquid he was

running the business out of his home and online and after contacting

him i was lucky to find he was opening a actual storefront Soon. a

perfectionist on his fluid and a great guy he taught me a ton of

information on how its made how to tweak and was a great help in

learning everything to becoming a informed vaper.
He has helped to in even helping a smaller store in our area to be

informed and ive helped his store to get better product and be more

informed the second store owned by a war vet that's sole purpose was

to help people get off cigarettes, not really for enthusiasts

though.
He had the right idea. its a huge health benefit.

What i see is now i went from using my inhaler 4 times a day (more

than recommended) to now im lucky if i use it once a week
My breathing issues are gone. i havnt touched a Analog cigarette

since a week after starting. and i can do alot more without any

issues like i did before while i can say i saved alot of money i

haven't i spend it all amassing soo many flavors mods and toys looking

for my sweet spot in vaping and the perfect flavors.

So i push every smoker i see to switch to vaping and inform them the

truths behind the rumors i hear. i have now converted over 30 plus

friends and waitresses when out to eat to vaping.

My collection contains 5 Mods and about 10 ego style including Ego-

Twists about 40 different types of attys and cartos aswell as tank

systems. and i will never go back to smoking.

I have recently moved to Oklahoma City and vaping is even larger here

with 4 stores withing a 20 minute drive, and if i have my way maybe

ill help more people soon and make it 5.

Current main setups.
1000Mah Ego twist and a ViVi Nova
Smok Telescope V2(w/Ventholes) amd a stardust style
Gripper and a Bully rebuildable atty
Fluids change daily mostly from Mr E he still has the best fluids to

me the cheap nicotine i see in most peoples fluids cant compare

beside my straight VG fluids from 405Vapors.

thank you Patrick and Dan@MR E liquid for helping my health and

turning me onto vaping. and to anyone reading my hugely long winded

tale

xoon to be known as knotsmoke changing names online

Heard about ecigs in the passing and saw one for the first time in that movie where Johnny depp(?) is using one on a train and started searching the internet. Did a LOT of research, mostly via ECF and youtube. Went a bit deeper and searched for info on the liquid, possible side- effects and other "good to know"- stuff. Pulled the trigger fairly quick tho, and got a eGo-T from TW.
That's about one and a half year ago, the best thing I ever did. Wanted to try it an maybe just cut down one or two analogs a day, if possible, wasn't planning to qiot the stinkies.
Got my eGo and quit analogs all together the same day I took my first puff on my ecig.

(I did however fall off the wagon after 8 months of vaping, and went back to smoking due to personal issues and pure stupidity. Got my .... together a few months later and I'm now back to Vaping full time again. Much thanks to M-E-L's Pirate's Bounty. -Thanks Dave!)

I quit smoking over a year and a half ago - for health reasons. I was using an inhaler twice a day .. and continued to smoke! I had purchased a Blu ECig kit (due to seeing their advertisements and didn't know anything about vaping), but didn't try it ... continued to use my inhaler, and smoke.

One morning I woke up very sick, could barely breath .. and decided to give up cigarettes! I started vaping that morning. Unfortunately, the Blu wasn't enough for me and I QUICKLY searched for a "better vape". It was almost immediately I moved on to a Revolver, to an eGo ... to a VV.

Within a couple months of vaping, I didn't need my enhaler anymore ... and haven't needed it since! Vaping was one of the best moves I ever made. :vapor:

#1 I started in July? Although I had my 510 longer. I never used it. I tried to get it working and thought the whole setup was broken (meanwhile, the atty was off, at 4.5ohms or something crazy for a 510).
I researched, or thought I had, and bout a v2 kit. Google is flooded in advertisements, and reviews were sketchy for many reasons. I didn't know. Not that the v2 was horrible, it was good for a mini, but yeah. Luckily I didn't pay full price. I couldnt quit with with 808 v2's. I finally found ECF and trustworthy e cig youtube reviewers.
At that point I bought ego twists and began really cutting back smoking to 1-2 day as a crutch. I quit Aug 24th. I love vaping!

I quit smoking January 1st....I had an OLD OLD Blu kit laying around and picked it up, only finding it to be completely unsatisfactory. I tried to do a bit of research on Egos and ended up on the far side of the city on a Sunday night at a liquor store I thought might have some. I bought kits for my husband and I. It turned out that the kits were missing pieces, and completely jumbled, but I had an Ego and some nasty Dekang liquid. But I persevered and haven't had an analog since Jan 1st.

#1....Got started vaping because I was already trying to quit analogs. Kept seeing ads for "Blu" starter kits and gave it a shot. Although the product was overpriced and generally terrible...I stuck with it when I found out I could refill the cartridges with my own e-juice. This led me to youtube and eventually the ECF...once I ordered a Riva starter kit and more juice, I was instantly hooked into the vaping world. Thx for the contest :)

Started with an 808D-1 kit. Web vendor that lives in the area met up to do business. Got 2 batteries, charger, 5 empty cartos, and 15ml of an 18mg menthol juice. He showed me how to fill the cartos and I took a few drags. The flavor was really close to my menthol cigs, and coming from Camel Wides, the width of the carto was similar. I had done some reading on here and elsewhere on the web before purchasing ... just not quite enough since within 2 weeks I was going nuts with battery life. But I got home from the purchase, had one more cigarette just because ... and forgot the pack on the balcony. Took just the PV with me to work and that was it. Heh, it rained that afternoon, so the last pack of cigarettes was a lost cause anyways.

Post #1 Tell us how you got started vaping, and what you chose for your first PV. How did you discover e-cigs? Did you research before your first purchase or did you dive right in?

Husband had a friend at work who vaped and my husband wanted me to give it a try - I was beyond ready to quit but was unable...
At first, I was turned off because (of course) there were no assurances it would work, and it was expensive to get set up (we have alot of school loans and 3 small kids).

Because, heaven forbid, I do anything halfway - I dove into researching e-cigs. My very first google search brought me to ECF.
I read and read and read and read.
I bought my Ego-C kit on 5/7.
I stopped smoking on 5/8.

As of this time, I am now actually saving money by vaping vs smoking! :2cool:
