Long story as to why (traveling) but found myself with part of two different tanks/setups: A Geek Vape Zeus tank (top, chamber/glass/ tank, coil), but with a BASE Horizon. They actually fit and yes it fires. No leaking (yet?).
Is that safe? Like, what's the science behind the metal/coil firing? Does it matter that the base horizon is not meant to be used with the Zeus tank?

If it works and there's no leaking, I don't see a problem. Usually mismatched parts don't fit, which is why people don't normally try it. The base is the most important part in regards to safety. Using mismatched base parts would be concern, but the rest of the tank is just to manage the juice and to channel the vapor to your mouth. I'm surprised that you found the parts to fit.

"The base is the most important part in regards to safety" - Ok, so that's what I am doing, though? Horizon Base (I think falcon?) with Geek Vape Zeus Tank/Coil.
