Mixing E-Liquid

I've looked around the forums and there's so much on VG vs PG and different methods for DIY mixing.

Now, I'm a real newbie but very adventurous - story of my life!!!
From what I've read and logically worked out, it'll be so much cheaper if me and my partner mixed our own.
This is our idea but PLEASE tell us if we're going about this the wrong way.
(we originally bought TotallyWicked 18mg Menthol which is great but a little to minty)

We are going to buy:
TotallyWicked 36mg (30ml) menthol (£19.99)
Vegetable Glycerin

So we're going to mix this together (30ml TW + 30ml VG) and it should make 60ml of 18mg menthol (but less minty) juice.

Is it as simple as this? (forgive my newbyness if I'm wrong)

Correct. It will give you 60 ml of 18 mg liquid. As to whether or not it is "less minty", I have no idea. I would try a smalll batch, like 3 ml to test it out first. Do 1 1/2 ml menthol and 1 1/2 ml plain vg and see if you like it or not. If so, then proceed with the rest of the bottles. My guess is, it's going to taste the same as the original you ordered.

You may want to add a little tobacco flavoring to it to make it less minty.

yeah if you are looking to cut down on flavor and nic concentration..

when you make it though at fist cut it with 40-45% glycerin so if it comes out too thick you can fix it with either distilled water or alcohol
