I have a sensitivity to PG but not an allergy. At about 2 mo. into vapeing I started to get crazy itching that would move from one spot to another. I found it was PG but also noticed it was the amount of PG. I am one of the lucky ones and can still use PG based flavors and the rest just plain VG, I mix my eliquid at 20-24% PG based flavor and the itching has stopped. Unless a flavor says different I would assume it to be PG based, as most are. There is a new super concentrated flavoring that I know e-cig express carries (and probably somewhere in the UK as well) that only use 2-5% flavor that I believe is an alcohol based flavor.

Ok I have been doing all vg diy for a couple months now. One of the biggest problems I had to tackle was getting my juices mixex right to use all vg across a variety of equipment. Wicking issues with all vg are notorious. If its too thick youll get burned hits with one piece of equipment and itll wick fine in another. So I set out to find a base that will work across all my tanks, cartos, and clearomizers. I have a 510-t, ego-c, ego-w, an elips f6, and just added a lavatube yesterday. I prefer tank systems, have some carts in dual and single coil, and also direct drip when testing flavors.

Now, I do use some pg but only what comes with flavoring. I am also pg intolerant. Some I can handle, lots... well it gives me crushing headaches.

The key to my mixing has been uaing a base mix that will get me to where I am at about 70%vg/30% DW & flavoring. I vape in the 12-16mg range and have found a 24mg base mix gives me alot of flexability in hitting my target nic content.

The base for me that works best is 90%VG/10% DW @ 24mg. Using this I have eliminated all wicking issues in tanks (the ego-c, and clearos dry hit a ton when its too thick) and all other equipment. None of my attys suffer. Blown out once a day, cleaned with isopropyl alcohol every 2-3 days. I have attys and clearomizers that have run strong on vg since rhey day I started vaping... with almost daily use.

I hope this helps. It took me almost two weeks to figure out my base mix and how adding flavoing and dw would effect it in my final mixes and I have a system now that works. 90/10 to start, mix down to 70/30.
