For what it's worth, I vape 9mg Hummingbird as an ADV. It's a mix if 12mg and 6mg Hummingbird. Anyhow, I use a DNA30 and a Spheroid. The coil is 2mm and 1.3 ohms of 5 wraps of 30ga with a cotton wick. I run it at 3.9V/11.5W. The key, for me, with Hummingbird, was going to a smaller 2mm coil and cotton. I did 28ga 3mm coils and silica wick for a while and just didn't get much out of it. 28ga didn't heat up quite right for MAXVG but 30 was spot on. 3mm was too big and I got gurgling sometimes, but 2mm worked well in letting cotton do the work of wicking the juice properly while making a coil small enough to heat quickly and completely. Something about MAXVG takes a little extra playing around with to find the sweet spot. Anyhow, once I got the wicking figured out, Hummingbird really came alive and became a great ADV. It's tasty once you get a good build and then know what to "taste for", and light enough to where you don't burn out your taste buds after a day of heavy chain vaping. I too tried it in a tank (Protank II with OEM 1.8 ohm coils) and it burnt quickly and clogged up even more quickly. I will probably rebuild some of those coils over the winter with cotton as it's tough to beat a PT II for quick coil changes.
