You are reading it right. I think in this case the e-juice me up calculator is overkill. You're putting one flavoring into pre-mixed nic base - so all you need is a simple percentage that can probably be done in your head.
The calculator is an excellent aid when you start making your own recipes or following those of other members.
As for a direct answer to your question, some members do add either PGA (pure grain alcohol like vodka or everclear), saline or plain distilled water to thin their liquid. It really helps get improved wicking when using high VG ratios.

Cool, thanks for the verification. I had no idea about the water or alcohol. Simple percentages is all I need at this stage in the game. I have to say this sure beats the days when I was paying through the nose for 50ml bottles of V-2 Congress and Sahara.
It is actually 28.8. and while the calculator is probably overkill for what you are doing it does have a feature that lets you calculate the end strength of different nicotines. so in your case 8ml of nic base plus 2 ml of flavor at 0mg gives you your end result = 28.8
15% flavor = 30.6mg/ml
Probably not a significant issue with what you are doing, but if you stepped up to higher strength nic with faulty assumptions it could be a problem.
Edit - saline as stated above does thin the liquid, just like PGA or vodka which I don't use. But it is also suppose to make fruit flavors more vibrant? I don't mix many fruits so I can't confirm personally. It also helps with flavor penetration as a byproduct of liquid that is a thinner viscosity.

Dang it, I forgot about your recommendation for MFS and purchased 4, 8 oz bottles of straight 50/50 from MBV. Our glorious governor wants to impose a 95% tax on e-juices and accessories, so I placed an order right after I heard that. Should I keep the bottles in the freezer or fridge to preserve freshness, or will keeping them in my airtight safe be sufficient?

Nicotine in it? If there is put 3 in the freezer and one in the safe. Storing in glass is best. I recycled some Voss water bottles for my pg and vg.
All that being said should be fine in the safe but I would store in glass if you wont use them within 6 months.
Yes, 36mg. I'm thinking the 4 should last me around six months, give or take, so it probably won't be an issue. I've prescriptions to pick up tomorrow, I'll ask my pharmacist if he's a dark glass jar or two I can have. Thanks for the advice.
