I am having a little trouble with my DIY operation. Some of my flavoring isn't strong enough and it is coming out a little harsh (even with 18% nicotine). I am about to go buy some more nicotine and flavoring so if you have any recommendations on what I should buy I am all ears. I have looked at the DIY e-liquid flavor chart, so I have an idea on the better flavors from the different suppliers.

I currently have:
100% Nicotine 50/50 (I was wondering if i different mix would be better)
All my flavors are PG based
I only have VG for base (Is it important to have both???)

I am new to DIY so I will listen to anything ya'll have to say. If there is any additives I should buy please list. I make all types of liquids. Deserts, Tabacco and fruits.

Thank you for helping and Vape on!:vapor:

I use 60mg nic because I like how it works out on the juice calculators but that is just me. There are so many good threads on ecf for DIY'ers and I am by no means an expert but I've only had to buy juice 2 times in last six months so I am happy about that. I have a bunch of flavorings and have been very pleased with most of them. I have gotten so I only use the VapingZone super concentrated and gourmet flavors because you use so much less of them that I feel like it is more economical. I have tried several and have been so pleased with the outcome. Check them out. It is only the SC (super concentrated) and gourmet that you use so little.

E Cig eGo, E juice, Mods, Cartomizers, Liquid Nicotine, DIY Flavorings

I have used so far the Blueberry, Peach, Pear, CremeBrulee, Vanilla Rum and 7Star Tobacco. I have mixed just about everything with the 7Star and absolutely love it. I would recommend looking at their thread. I am more of a mixing sloth. I have plastic bottles with the mls on it and I just flavor my unflavored nic juice. I know that is the lazy way but hey, it is working for me and I am happy.

I am sure someone will come along and help you more than I can but I do wish you all the luck in the world. It is so much fun to just play with different flavorings and see what you like. I can't even comprehend having a ADV (all day vape). I change all the time and love it.

Also wanted to welcome you to ecf. It is just a wonderful place. As you can tell, I am pretty passionate about vaping. :)

Where did you get your nic base? Some nic bases really effect the taste of the juice. Also, are you using a good online calculator to help calculate your mix? There's quite a few good ones. I don't use them, but most people do.

What flavorings are you using? Brand? Flavors?

Also, are you starting low on your flavor percents and working up?

Are you steeping then taste testing? Then adjusting and steeping again?

A little more info and we can help you better.

I got my flavors from candyflavors.com all PG based. I have been using banana, chocolate, cuban cigar, mango, peanut butter, smores. I also have their sweet cream and sweetner. I have just been trying to get all the flavors adding up to 20% total. I have steeped for a couple days and adjusted.
Nicotine from Madvape.com its 50/50
I use ejuicemeup program.

Thank you guys for helping me out

I'm fairly sure your problem is in the flavors you are using. These were actually designed for candy not vaping. The lady tht owns that company is deceptive and eventually added that people could use her oils in Vape mixes, but experienced Vapers know oil based is bad. It's probably why your juice is off.

She's been sued and also has a ton of complaints with the Better business bureau.

i also use the super concentrates from VZ the only one that i found that needs to steep is watermelon and i have alot of the fruit flavs , capellas is another i like alot the cappuccino is great if you like that , i also agree your nic can make all the difference in taste RTS Vapes and Vaping Zone are good nic places i have bought from , now your pg/vg needs to be good also as they will be the bulk of your ejuice alot of people including me get the 2 gallon special ( 1 gal each) from essential depot and you cant beat the price for such good quality , now back to the nic if you plan on any long term freezing its best to stick with pg nic base for me i use 100mg nic pg base with that in mind when mixing recipes i will use less pg since that is my base nic and most of my flavs are pg so i only end up adding around 8-9ml pg in my recipes but play around with it and find what you like best all we can do is point out what we like and everybodys taste is different so its alot of fun to play around with and once you start finding them you can buy in larger bottles and thats where you can really save alot of money i started using a new calculator that keeps inventory and prices and found some flavors in small bottles that are 3 bucks when figured per ml its really wakes you up to price ive got some as high as 87 cents per ml and as low as 11 cents per ml , hope ive helped and not added to any headspins

Please go read this thread about this company: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sing-candy-flavor-com-their-flavor-mixes.html

Also I'm almost positive I read somewhere that their flavorings are oil based. Not a good idea to use in vaping.

I know that they have Oil based for hard candies, but they also have PG based flavors. I am pretty sure I order from the PG flavor list. Kinda makes me wonder though.
I just put in a $200 order to TFA so we will see the difference.

Once again thank you guys so much for the help. VAPE ON!:vapor:
