12.14mm at the smallest section, which exists in the middle of the "collection tank". In other words there is a lip inside that is hardly apparent in the photo. The upper section above the lip measures 16mm inner diameter, and the lower section below the lip is 20mm inner diameter. So I'd say the largest you'd be able to make the hole is 16mm. That's a maybe on the did clone.

I had a similar dreamy idea before I got the unit into my hands: wanted a mini iGo-L to fit in the collection tank. I still dream of turning that area into a tank sometimes. It would just be a lot of work towards something kinda rigged tho.

I received my GM switch and as expected it does not fit, the threads are a little more coarse and it appears slightly larger.
I'm going to look at drilling and re-tapping if there is enough difference in size that when I drill it to neccasary size that all of the existing threads are removed in the process. Or I may just wait a couple more weeks and buy the GG bottom cap complete, tube and tele tube and use what parts that I have from the MKB to complete it.

I went ahead and ordered a MKB. I really like the looks of it and hope it's built to last awhile. I mainly use a Z-atty-U and other tanks but still enjoy my carto's. Will a Boge cargo fit down and reach the connection or will it still need adaptors?

thanks for the numbers upsetter21 ,thats just what I needed, too bad my mini did plan didnt work.
Im normaly more decisive with things but Ive loaded my cart twice with this and not pulled the trigger.
$145 delivered with the stealth cap,I just dont know ;)
Plus it looks huge in some pics
Well it's a "huge" hit with me, big compared to an Ego but smaller than a Smok Zmax

The Zmax has stacked 18350's so it's a fuzz taller than with one 18650, the MKB has an 18650

renoman: no problem getting those measurements. On the size comment, I too am a little phallic sensitive. You ARE RIGHT this thing can stack up fast and get real long. But likewise it can get real small! That's the beauty of it. I puff under a lot of configurations & the MKB-TS handles every one. A carto down in the collection tank & a single 18350 allows me to hide it in the palm of my hand. But when I'm doing an HBO marathon at home I hold it at roughly 10" with an 18650, kicked, and a full Terminator C. Basically whatever I want I can stack it to work out. I do STRONGLY RECOMMEND the center post modification if size is your concern however. And I would check if you can source material for shimming the switch before ordering. I haven't looked back on my MKB-TS purchase since making those enhancements. Sorry if I'm helping to spend your money, but this is the easiest big-boy MOD to get your hands on & for me completely cured the GG envy. I have a Nemesis too & frankly I can do more with the MKB-TS.

dwcraig1: Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Sorry to hear about the GM switch not fitting. A suggestion: if the existing hole for the factory switch is not going to suit your GM-sw drill-&-tap measurements, consider preserving the factory hole, and instead create a new hole on the opposite side, 180 degrees from the existing. Yes, that would leave a hole in the MOD, but you'd have more material to work with for a clean tap if you started your own hole & you wouldn't defeat compatibility with the Chinese parts in case Rainbow offers an upgrade. There are clear signs of heat stress already around my switches' factory tap. Since SS is kinda cracky, you may have better luck if you avoid a spot that's already been unevenly heated. Don't mean to bring worry into your project, but hope I can help brainstorm.

Realized I should mention something about the collection tank. IT WORKS VERY WELL as a collection tank! Of course it does - it was Imeo's idea!

Oddy's and their clones can drizzle a little juice down the 510 connection sometimes, which occasionally bothered me on other MODs because it would end up on my hands. I didn't even stop to think about this since I started using the MKB-TS! Having not cleaned for over a week & vaping heavy I finally dismantled the collector and was pleasantly surprised to see all the gunk had collected there w/o hindering my daily use. I've had absolutely no juicy-hand days with this MOD!

renoman: my stealth cap came in today from China. It came via DHL which is a very dependable carrier for overseas and exotic locations. The vendor shipped the cap in less than 10 hours. It arrived in a couple of days. So no problems there. I guess that's why I paid $27 to ship. Had I a slower/cheaper choice I definitely would have taken it. I think this vendor is trying to position as a wholesaler tho.

NOW THE BAD... the freakin' Rainbow stealth cap clone is not functional in it's factory configuration!!!!

Yes you read it right. 0% success. Didn't work with 10 atty's I tried & it will never work without my intervention. I am now convinced that the people at Rainbow have 1000 lathes but no batteries because they are not trying out their own products - not even a single test fire, else this product would not have shipped. In the US someone would be fired for letting this one out the door. You all have probably guessed by now THE CENTER POST IS WAY TOO SHORT. Or they didn't cut enough threads on the insulator (depends on how you look at it). NO ELECTRICAL CONTACT POSSIBLE WITHOUT MOD'ing (are you listening Rainbow???).

So shortly after receiving the package, I went back to the HW store for reasons related to the MKB-TS AGAIN! Fortunately I was able to identify the thread pattern (will post tomorrow) and swap the factory center post screw for another longer one. But I could only find a SS screw rather than brass. I guess I'll order a screw over the Internet. So I did "fix it" and I'm vaping happy again.

I'll detail some more w/ photos tomorrow. For now I want break it up with some happy pictures...

Oh, man........I just placed my order and then had a look here and saw your post.
Well thank-you for figuering out the fix already ,that saves me some greef.
Anyhow, I have a gold springed model on the way,and the non-functioning stealth cap too lol.
A little bit of buyers remorse, but on the upside Im a pretty good fixer if I do say so myself.
But it sure helps having you go there first :0
thanx again

I know I sounded the alarm, but you'll be fine renoman because you've come to the right place. Here is the measurements for a screw that fixes the problem:
m4 x 10mm 0.7pitch

That's Metric rod #4 at 10mm long with 0.7 pitched thread. Let me know if you find a good source for one in brass.

It's the people who aren't as savvy that that I feel for. Tomorrow I am contacting a couple US vendors to let them know about the stealth cap before they tarnish their reputations trying to sell it to would-be loyal customers. Hopefully as volume buyers they can put the pressure on the supplier to ramp up the QC.

Thanks for the compliment monoloque.
Another update on the Stealth Cap Clone. My screw fix defeats using the Stealth Cap with 18650+Kick. Just not enough room in the tube. Looks like 18500 will be largest configuration with The Kick and the Stealth Cap. Seems if I left it stock it still wouldn't work either. That is to say the screw fix doesn't cause the issue but it does occupy another MM or two of the inside length. More photos tomorrow, just getting the news out to help the impulse buyers.
