I bought an MKB-TS and I am very happy. I have a GGTS and I wanted to see the clone. It is identical to GGTS. Very little difference.

My plan is made then, I will buy the GG bottom cap, tube and tele and put my new switch and the top of MKB together with them and get a stealth cap for the left over MKB parts.

I wish that I had this figured out yesterday before that I ordered the tap, maybe it will get used someday.

double post. Please ignore these photos & move to the next set. I was trying to put the pictures in order, and now I can't make these go away.

So the positive pin didn't protrude far enough into the 510 to make contact, is that right?
How much more does it need?

Yes, that is correct. The positive pin or center pin is either too short, or the black plastic insulator has an incomplete threading machined. Adjusting either to reach another 2mm would possibly settle the production problem.

The distance the brass center pin can travel is dependent on the position of the insulator. The female 510 threading extends through the body of the cap, top-to-bottom, w/ no shoulder or interruption. The insulator has been machined with 510-male threads, and there is a shoulder at its bottom. The 510 threads weren't cut all the way down to the shoulder so it is not possible for the insulator to reach its full depth potential, which results in positioning the center pin lower. Maybe if I had a die for the 510 threads, I could complete the threads on the insulator to make it go deeper, but getting a new screw was cheaper and easier. My insulator was already a little thrashed by the factory's hasty assembly so I don't want to touch it much more. The screw I substituted allows me to make easy adjustment to the center pin position using a screw driver, leaving the insulator in one position.

As you can see in the pictures, my screw has a larger head than the factory pin, so it does eat a couple millimeters of the inner-tube (battery bay). It's trivial though.

Cool idea for birthing two MODs out of one! Where will you get the parts?

Sorry, I'm trying to get the info up as soon as it comes to me.
