I've got two differing types of MNKE batteries. Does anyone know if MNKE batts are common to be sold in different casings? Perhaps there was some revision done or maybe there are multiple manufacturers using different casings.

One set has a raised negative side like the Sony 30A batts have, and it's got a different wrapping design on the pos side. Also, the font size printing of the label's text is different too.

The one with the protruding neg is from UltraVape and the other is from madvapes. Anyone with any insight, please help.

apparently there is already a thread about it.

i contacted UltraVape and I am confident in their response that these are indeed authentic MNKE batts.
MNKE did indeed stop production of this battery. however that was done after this most recent batch of batteries containing a different casing were created. ive been using them down to 0.4Ω before i even thought to ask if they weren't legit. i dont go lower than 0.4Ω anyway and these batts handle it just the same as the MadVapes MNKE. no warmth, no signs of stressing the battery so i believe im a-OK.

I bought some MNKE's from Avid Vapor at Vapercon back in November. I trust those guys would have legit stock (especially at the price I paid for them) because they've been around a very long time. Hell, Cisco himself was standing right there in the booth when I bought them! (Just pointing that out to further explain the trust I held for Avid during the purchase) Funny thing is the jackets have a sticker on them that must be for the MNKE 26650's because they say 4000mah. The sticker reads as follows:

Lithium Ion Battery
Model: ST650
Voltage: 3.7v
Capacity: 4000 mAh

But the jacket itself has all the correct markings and serial numbers. Anybody seen anything like this?

bump for any possible new opinions on this discussion.
Baditude- if youre reading what do you think?

I had heard that MNKE had stopped production of the 18650 batteries; RTD Vapor had a note about it on the product page, too. Then I read that MNKE was resuming production, but that the company was up for sale.

Thanks. That's just what I wanted to hear. Care to explain a bit further? I'd appreciate it. Cheers.

I can't find the thread on FB but A friend of mine contacted UltraMistVape directly, and EFest distributors as well. Ultra receives only legit MNKEs from their distributors who confirmed the difference in "styles" in the MNKE batteries. <--- long story short.
