So, I'm on the fence about buying some MNKE 1500mAh IMR 18650 batteries. I currently have 3 EH 2000mAh 18650s, and one Efest 2000mAh 18650 (not the 30a 1500mAh version). My question is - am I going to see any noticeable improvement from buying the MNKEs? I don't really go TOO sub-ohm (the lowest I've gone is .6). I'm really just interested in battery life, and the ability to run a dual-coil without draining my batteries as fast. Any info/opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

0.6 ohms with some voltage drop is going to draw 6.5A max. And if you're usually at higher ohms than that even less. The less amps you draw the more you benefit from higher mAh and lower maximum amp capacities. I don't have the EH or Efest batts, but in my opinion, you are not going to get noticeably longer run times from the MNKE, which I have and use at about 0.6 ohms. Longevity between charges is not their strong suit.

EH is just about the only battery that MadVapes sells (other than the MNKEs, which are ALWAYS out of stock). I somehow mistook them for Efests when I bought them. I'm getting about a day out of them, so they're not that bad. I just keep hearing how great AW's are, and the MNKEs get good ratings as well. I'm now considering hybrid batteries - like the Panasonic/Orbtronic NCR18650PD. How safe are those hybrids? Are they, like, IMR safe?

I was looking at the 20a discharge rate of the MNKE as, "if I want to go sub-ohm, I can". Kinda scares me though.

the more power you draw, the shorter the battery life will be, you will only find a little difference from good brand to good brand.
It works in reverse as well when they build the batteries, the higher the output the shorter the Mah. cant have both. if you get a day from a .6 or lower build be happy. i run around .9 and get 2 maybe 2 1/2 from a 2900 battery. If i know I will not go below 1 ohm I even use the regular 3400 B but they will not tolerate subohms as they are not high drain

I use the panasonic pd's in everything now. no battery is completely safe, and will come down to how you treat them. but after researching how panasonic actually designs their batteries I trust them.

also it is notable that many brands, including AW and many others are in fact rewrapped panasonics.

Yup, the MNKE 20A capability and it's low internal resistance make me feel good about going sub-ohm, even though I don't need anywhere near that 20A. I also have a couple of Sony 30A batts. Both will tolerate double those amps for 10 seconds without venting or burning.

I won't use the Panasonic PD's in a mechanical mod. I know a lot of people do, but I just don't trust them. Thrasher, I think we've talked about this before, but not sure if it was you. I know they will perform really well if you take care of them, but I don't know they will not burn if they short badly. I'm convinced the CH's are OK with that and that AW's, MNKE's, Sony's and all the other IMR batts are good with it, but not these. Until I convince myself of that I'm staying away.

And it would be really nice if they didn't burn, as the extra mAh would suit me well.

Well, this is just me and my 2 cents. YMMV as always.
