Hey guys, so Ive decided to get a Chuck! And Im super excited! Problem is, I have no idea how to do these designs like so many on here know how to do..

Im just wondering what this would look like...

I "think" I'd like to have a Chuck with the Titleist logo on the side....??

And maybe, not sure yet, something else on the other side, I just dont know and am not very creative...

My thinking would be for it to be a white chuck, but maybe a black chuck with the titleist letters being red, yea that would look pretty wicked!! :D

Anyways, if anyone has the time and the know how to maybe show me what that would look like, I would REALLY appreciate it! And hey who knows, if I like it, I'll be sporting your design everywhere I go!

Thanks everyone for this great community!

OK Ive got it! I just wish I knew how to do the mock ups!

One side to have the titleist logo and the other side the Rogue Beer Logo

It would be cool if the chuck was black and the lettering was Red, not sure what color to make the Star in Rogue though....

Please any help would be amazing, I would really really appreciate it, Once I find something that looks awesome, Im gonna be ordering one!

Thanks!

FWIW, here's what I'd consider for a Golf Chuck:

At bottom, have some green grass blades (going up).
At the top maybe some blue sky (maybe not as it'd have to be a straight band along the top and thus wouldn't be rounded like a golf ball).
In the middle, all white with faint greyish golf ball texture. Over the texture the Titelist logo on one side and Rogue on the other.

Thus, it'd end up being blue-white-green (top to bottom). I'd also have the endcaps painted to match their corresponding end (i.e. one blue one green).

If a primarily white Chuck is not desired then switch to a black body with greyish texture, rest stays the same (though text would need to be inverted). To get an idea of the texture see the Basketball Chuck below (keep in mind the texture probably should be a little larger so it's more visible).

Wow Mike I really like your ideas, thats really creative. I do like the black body with the greyish texture, I was just looking at that design a few minutes ago in another thread. You do some serious work!

I sent you a PM earlier asking if you'd take a look at this, I REALLY appreciate your help here!

Man Im excited like a little kid again! I know Im gonna love whatever design you come up with! I wonder if red lettering would look good with that black body and grey texture? I bet it would, but not sure how you'd work in the grass and stuff like that?? Would you still keep the golf ball texture theme?

Wow, thanks a lot Mike!

Jim,

Hold on there a sec fellow!!!

I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I was going to mock it up. I've recently stopped doing mock-ups. I was just throwing out the design that popped into my head when I read your post. It seems that Chucks come in 2 varieties, the spot decal type and the more recent full wrap type. IMHO far too often the whole body isn't consider/used to maximum benefit. That's why I threw out my idea, so that you wouldn't have to "settle" for a couple of text decals.

Wafflestomper, Houdini, hell maybe even 420Smiles, might tackle a mock-up. Of course you could contact Jeff about doing it. I don't own a Chuck so I've never ordered one and thus don't know how working with Jeff on custom designs works.

Best of luck!

Aww damn, no problem man, I was just amazed at the cool things you have done....

Well, hopefully someone might be able to throw something together or I'll have to take some photoshop tutorials! I definitely want to go full wrap.

Thanks for the great ideas though, I hope I can see them come to fruition!

Take care man!

Welcome back 420!!! How's the leg/foot/ankle doin???

Leg/Foot/Ankle is doing better. Still some pain and swelling if I try to do to much, but as long as it's elevated it's fine.

Thanks for the "Welcome Back" too................although I just don't think I will ever be back with the enthusiasim I had before. The situation with Vapor Trail, and the spat with a few Mods here that came afterwards, has really dulled my mood for ECF. I still come on to read up on stuff and have made a handful of posts but I just don't feel the same as I did before. I mean.....I was posting like mad, giving advice, joking around with others and other stuff.......but now I only post images or enter a contest. I don't really have much to say anymore. Besides......I'm tired of catching Warnings and Infractions.....:)

OK, so I tried VERY VERY hard for the past 3 hours to make my own mock up, I really suck at this :-(

If anyone is out there that is willing to help, I will be forever grateful! And hey, your design will be on my Chuck to boot!

I envy those who can use photoshop so well! I really want to order my Chuck, but I just cannot get this mockup to work for me.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey Mike, yes I was using your tutorial, and Photoshop. I just d/l a trial version. I dont know how in the world you were able to get the button to come out of the graphics, when I put a layer on top of the chuck, I get only that layer and nothing else....

And it doesnt look as clean as yours or houdini's...

I dunno, I want a chuck bad, but if I cant submit Jeff a mock up, I dont know if I'll order it anytime soon.

Im still messing with it, and it still looks like a 3rd grader did it :)

It's nice that some of the people here do mock-ups for people so that they can decide on a final design, but it isn't necessary to send Jeff a mock-up if you can describe what you want on your Chuck.

My first one was a Little Chuck, and I wanted images from my college. I sent Jeff a bunch of the images and asked him to design the Chuck from those images, saying 1 of 3 similar images was a 'must have', and another one was also a 'must have' but could be in any of three colors I provided. He designed it for me, and my first sight of the design was when he posted it in the prOn - it's gorgeous!

I just bought my fourth Chuck - I told Jeff I wanted a Boston Red Sox Chuck, and he posted it over the weekend. it's got a red body with blue end caps - I never would have thought of that, but it's perfect - and, of course, the Red Sox logo.

So you might just want to send him the images you want, with a description like you put in your first post. You may also want to give him some ideas of what you'd want for a body color and the endcaps.

Thanks Jeannie, I just dont really have a good idea on what I want. I know I want those 2 things on there, but I want a full wrap, and Im not sure what else to put. I dont think just the 2 logos would be cool on it?? I dont know though...

Which is why I'd like to see a few ideas to help my handicapped creative side get an idea of what it would look like :)

Thanks!
