this is kind of a hard question to answer what kind of budget are you looking at and whats your experience level. Also what are you looking for ex: are you comfortable with RBA's if so then go mechanical if not then go vv/vw. I think if you had a budget of say $100 then your best bet is a smok natural mechanical mod (i think that what it's called) or a gg clone (ccts, chi chi). If you go mechanical you will need an RBA to get the most out of it and for the price I think the aga-t is the best one out there. Now if you don't want to do an RBA I'd say the vamo or sigelei zmax with a vivi. Since your leary of the vivi due to shorting problems (which I have never had happen to me and I have about 30 vivi novas) I would say go with a carto tank with a laser punch boge carto and a nice phiniac glass tank. This is all subjective as I have been telling everyone lately so what I like others might hate, as a lot of people like carto tanks but I don't I think the vivi is better but to each theri own. Hope this helps. Let me know about the price your willing to pay and that will help narrow down some stuff. EDIT: If you want a vape experience close to a genesis rba without the hassle I think a standard boge LR dripping atomizer is the best thing out there it's just a pain to have to drip all the time. Also to answer your question the way I would answer it for myself I would say a mechanical mod with an RBA right now my two go to set ups this week have been a ggts with a z atty g and my petar k vaper which is a 14500 hybrid genesis mod. Oh and if you get a mechanical mod for the most part you can always kick it and turn it into a vw device that way you kind of have 2 mods in one.

well its all subjective and what one person likes might not work for another but for what I like the best as of right now its a tie between the petar k vaper or a ggts with z atty g or synthesis. I think any high quality mechanical telescopic and any genesis atty that has the ability to get rid the 510 connection and has a positive post like the ihybrid, zen, or juggernaught etc and perferably able to accept a u wick or dual coil is best

How well would a provari work with a Genesis atty?

It works just fine, as long as you don't try to run super low resistance coils, they need to be above 1.5 ohms.

But really, you have opened up a can of worms! You need to narrow it down to some specifics. Some people love mechanical s, some people want VV and some can't live without VW!
You've got the, Provari, REO, Zmax, Vmax, GG, ZEN, GG's,Saber touch, Buzz Pro, Ipro, Silver Bullet, I mean the list is endless! Look at some of these, see what you do and don't like, how large you want to carry, what features you think you might like and might not and ask about specific models so we can try and help find what suits you and why.

if money is no issue then just get yourself a provari with a Z-Atty pro, cost you about $350 but worth every penny.

Shush you heathen! Didn't you get the memo? We're not supposed to suggest Provari's to new members that haven't gone through the proper steps first! They wont be able to enjoy it as much without first suffering though all the learning phases. We are supposed to suggest EGO's first, and if they find out about the Provari on their own, it's still our fault.

Hi...
...probably the other thing that might factor in is availability....so many things are out of stock that I dream of a link on some sites that simply list things that are "in stock"....
...the other thing is that the (awesome) genesis style atty's kinda need to be kept upright... always... so if you plan on putting stuff in your pocket, or for allowing it to be horizontal... you mill need to consider cartomizers (with, or without a tank), etc...

so..with regard to what I think is available now, retail (aside from the classifieds, etc)
...I think both the P+ (Super T ~ PrecisePlus Units), and the very pretty Themis (Mod themis - Titanide) are very cool...both don't seem to designed to rest upright... the Provari is rock solid, (and it also serves the dual purpose of checking an atomizers' resistance when working with a rebuildable). I think I would recommend the Provari to start. It stands up well, is why I started mentioning it.
...I also see some lengths of the Gus are still available today... pretty, and seemingly flat on the bottom as well: Devices

...rba's are pretty sweet, if keeping your mod upright is cool w/you (I'll be happy to hear any corrections, or thoughts on this)..
...so I think the AC9 looks great.. available probably for a few more minutes at: AC9 Kit – Vapinaze

...and this cobra looks very nice, available at the moment: Cobra Atomizer

...anyway... just a few thoughts.. good luck, & cheers, ~M

...yes...
...but I got lucky that the ZAP was in stock that day. I think that both the ac9, and the cobra are comparable.
...and it is worth every penny (but remember that all these pennies are kept in an upright stack)

Need a new best friend? :p

I said this, because if I am going to invest in another mod, and an atomizer, I want the best of the best. That is why I said money is no issue. I can save for months if I have to to get the best of the best. I thank you all for your input, and will take a look at your recommendations and such to find what suits me.
