I have been desperately trying to get my wife to become a full time vaper. Currently she is relatively happy using an eGo equipped with a Vision Stardust but it hasn't quite been enough for whatever reason. I have a kicked Silver Bullet and a ProVari mini myself and through trial and error we have figured out that she likes a slightly hotter vape than a low resistance Vision Stardust (~2.4ohm) on an eGo, but not as hot as something like a 1.5ohm atty on a 3.7 offers. She seems to enjoy something around 7 watts. As for flavor and nic strength, she really loves Vixen Vapors "Pixie Dust" @ 18mg, so juice isn't an issue.

Anyhow, she also wants something discrete and feminine, which seems to limit us to things like the Volt or the Blu, but for whatever reason I can't bring myself to buy one of those and would much rather get her set up on some sort of flexible yet very compact mod to allow her more flexibility than the Volt/Blu would be able to offer. She seems to be embarassed about vaping something that looks "strange" in public so she leans toward the ones that mimic a traditional cigarette. I am convinced though that if I can get her the vape she likes (without giving her my ProVari ;)) she would be fairly comfortable using a mod.

I have searched high and low and so far the only mod which has remotely piqued her interest in a Reo Mini, but even that (if I could even get my hands on one) is only a "maybe" from her.

Any ideas of a mod that might fit the bill? Something compact yet better performing than a volt/blu would be nice. It doesn't need to be entirely hassle free as I could maintain it for her but it has to have some sort of tank/bottom feed system as she wouldn't want to be bothered with dripping.

Should I maybe just give in and order a Volt for her? My concern is that she still won't make the switch and the volt isnt something I'd ever use myself, so ideally if she doesn't like whatever option I present her it should be something I can end up using myself later.

Pictures would be appreciated so we can browse this thread together later to hopefully get her an idea of some options we might have!

Hi werkkrew

My first mod after the eGo...a couple of plain black box mods...they are tiny & discrete. (and decorated now)
The first tube mod I got was a ProVape1...it is about the size of a magic marker...still small, slim and non-embarassing.

The next thing I got was a REO mini...in wonderful purple...It is small...discrete and will last forever.
If she doesn't want to mess with stuff, the REO mini would be a great way to go...and easily re-sellable if she decides she doesn't want it.
(being a 14500 battery, I do buy 6 each time I buy batteries...yea, I am a little obsessed on having plenty of batteries...lol )

You may want to consider the Vmod V2 ~ It's new version doesn't need proprietary cartos or atties, uses 14500 batts and it's a nice size. They also make a XL version that can be modded relatively easily to accommodate the Kick for VV.

hth! ;)

my friend has the one that is not XL and she really likes it. it's small. also they sell very pretty shells (outer cover) for them. when I started I wanted to be discrete and only wanted black pvs. now, a year later I only want pretty colors :)

I was actually considering a V-MOD for her but when I showed her she didn't seem entirely interested. While I feel like a V-MOD or Reo Mini might be perfect I am also a bit concerned with her being able to learn how to do the whole bottom feeding thing.

I guess it would depend on how much she vapes. If she's using a ego w/stardust now, I wouldn't think going to a slim batt would be beneficial as the battery life is going to be less than what she's using now.

The squonking ~ squershing thing is pretty easy to get down, some just say "tilt n vape" I do prefer my vmod to my tanks as it's easier to refil, no punching cartos, etc.

Let us know what you decide!

How about a Little Sister Variable Vari-Cool - Ken's Boxmods ? They are tiny VV's, have several color options and you could put a 3ml carto tank on there for her.

If she's comfortable with the eGo size, has she tried the LR Boge 2.0 cartos which give a warm vape or the1.5-1.7 ohm dual coil cartos? Both should give her a warmer vape on a higher capacity battery than the littler ones and fewer recharges. The eGo mega dual coils would also be a slim option but I don't think they are as warm as the regular diameter. Maybe the simple Boge 2.0 would satisfy the need for more heat - it's what my wife moved to on her eGo, as she didn't want anything bigger.

They're adorable. And only $5.00 for each new case. One day red, one day blue, one day wood-grain, and one day skulls! :headbang:
