I need an opinion. So currently I'm charging my RX200 batteries and I had to stick my TFV4(w/prebuilt coils) on my old 80w Smok box. I just bought a new coil and haven't had a problem until I was vaping on it and it read as "shorted". I haven't fired it on the older box since then but should the tank be okay to use with the RX200? I'm really just trying to avoid messing anything up, and I think the short was due to the connection being kinda dirty. I'm no expert though and I just wanna know if it's still safe to use the tank on another box, or if I should go out and get another new coil.

how low is the ohms on the tank??? regulated mods have their own low limit of ohms... one mod may handle .12 ohms while another is set for a low limit of .18.... if its too low, then it could be considered as a short when its just a very low ohm situation and not a direct short.

Welcome and glad you joined. Please get a new coil and report back. If you are asking if it's safe, the answer is no.
