Short error help

I ordered some 0.5 kanthal UD coils online. Will probably swing by my local shop to get some ni200 0.15 UD coils later.

Shall report back and see if higher resistance could fix the problem.

thanks clydde. You were right about the wotofo not able to read the 0.3ohm coils.

Went to my local shop. Picked up some ni200 0.15ohm coils. Plugged it in my other UD zeph tank and everything fired up perfectly.

Excellent... So the mod is good to go... and the Zeph will just have to run with Ni200 or .5 coils for ya. Im glad that everything worked out even though you had to wait an extra 24 hours to use your new toy.

Yessir vaping on it as we speak (or type actually).

Yes the mod bug has hit me hard. Only started vaping a week ago and I can't stop looking for new "stuff".

On a side note. I'm a bit disappointed that I'm unable to use the 0.3 kanthals with the wotofo.

Maybe it's the new juice I'm vaping (0.3mg nicotine vs my old 0.6mg) or maybe it's the ni200 coils but at 600F I don't feel like I'm getting a good hit (throat hit) when compared to my snow wolf mini with 0.3 kanthal at 20W.

Less nicotine will reduce the throat hit no matter the device... But yes you will notice as you acquire more mods that some seem to power harder than others at the same settings...that is the nature of the beast due to the differences of chipsets.

you're right clydde, cuz when switch the same tank from Wotofo to the Snow Wolf with the same temp setting, the snow wolf hits substantially harder with more flavor and vapor. I guess that just the nature of things, different chipsets as you said.

with that being said. I won't recommend the Wotofo freakshow tiny. Doesn't vape as well, and even tho it says it recognizes 0.3 ohms in power setting, it does not obviously.

Well it is still a nice looking mod...and I'm sure you will find your sweet spot with it to keep it in your rotation.

Yes hopefully. I bought it strictly because I liked the form factor, the color and most importantly the fire'ing button (love them big buttons). However the chip (which from what I understand is made by Wotofo in house) just doesn't deliver when compared to the snow wolf. Will probably have it around as a beater or something. Anyway thanks again for your responses to my thread.

Alright, so now I am sure I have a bad mod. I swapped out the ni200 standard coils for some 0.5ohms kanthal standard ones and the mod doesn't work. Gives me a short error just like it did wits 0.3ohms kanthals.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the mod does not recognize any non-temp control coils, giving me a short error everytime I have kanthals on it.

Well Dec write the company you got it from explain what all you have done and see if they will exchange it. At least you have done all of your trouble shooting. Bummer man.

Yea called the company directly (expat living in China). The person on the other line was trying to make it sound like it wasn't his personal problem and dismissed my issue. I'm shipping the mod back to the reseller and if they find it to be defective I'll hopefully get a refund.

Really not about the money but the entire experience with Wotofo. I'll never buy any of their products again. All these reviews online about their freakshow tiny mod is just bogus. The in-house chip TC control is spotty at best, not firing, low power, overheating of the mod and tank, etc.
