Back in Dec 2010 I ordered a GLV2 Mini and was concerned that they don't stand on their own. As a solution I ordered some Maple Burl stock from eBay (generally sold for making bowls)...

After a *LOT* of sanding and Tung oil, it looked like this...

Here is what it looks like completed (along with an Ash one I made shortly after)...

Here are a couple I made for my desk at work...

I got a couple of VapeNutts last week to keep my ProVari from falling over. They’re good and heavy. I keep one in the TV room and one at my desk. Now I just need one for my workbench in the garage. :)

I got mine at the VapeNutt website but I’ve seen them on eBay too.

I made a few stands out of some left over scrap wood and a couple different logs in my wood pile. Nothing fancy but they work great for holding my nemesis and ego batteries. I have a few around the house, garage and backyard. The one log holder got a little chewed by our mastiff but she didn't fully kill it, she likes chewing on logs for some reason. :toast:

I don't know why it took me so long to throw together a stand of some sort, but today I got tired of knocking attys and drip tips over so I made a simple stand. I plan on tracking down some nice material and doing several more properly, including something that will hold PVs.

But this works just fine for now
