I'm pretty sure there is a "mod" thread, but I can't easily find it

Can you cut/take apart a cartomizer to drip? Link to anything similar to that?

Sure. Depending on the manufacturer, you remove the endcap/mouthpiece and add a driptip or slightly modified cart. I use a slightly shortened 901 whistle tip.

I pulled out the sponge/fabric. Now there is a tube and a black wire going up, wrapped around it.
