Mod To Make Soft Premium Caps Easy To Remove For Refilling!

We love the soft caps, because they have the built-in O-ring, but they can be hard to remove with a thumbnail, and we don't want to have to carry around a pointy object to remove them for refilling...

Here's what I did...

Take a used cart and cut a 1mm section with a Dremel and a cutting wheel.

Remove the rubber cap from your Premium Cartomizer.

Slide the metal ring onto the rubber cap.

Insert cap onto the cartomizer.

Done.

Enjoy!

I would not want to carry carts in my pocket, as anything could go wrong or end up causing problems. In my case, I bought both the PCC and the inexpensive plain case. If anyone used to carry a pack of cigarettes, carrying at least the plain, 5 dollar case, should be no problem. It can carry 2 batteries and 2 carties.

I hope it doesn't come off way too easily that it falls off while taking a puff, though. If it's loose, I think you could always use the rubber cover, leaving it on the mouthpiece, but with a hole in the center of it ?

The cap still fits into the carto with about a quarter inch of material, hasn't come off on me yet, it's pretty solid. As far as cartos in my pocket, I always use the covers on both ends...

Update: I filed down the metal ring to about .75mm so that the cap would be seated more firmly. Nice results, except when the ring popped right over the lip of the cap... After I found it, I decided to put a few spots of cyanoacrylate glue under the ring to fix it in place. All is right with the world!

I usually don't refill while I'm out and about but if I were planning on being away for a few days it might just come in handy.
