I ran across THIS on one of my deep, dark Google Expeditions . . .

Waterproof Plastic Battery Tube / Match Holder - Holds Matches, OR, one 17670 battery, one 18650 battery, or two CR-123a batteries. The price is $2.99 USD.

If you could show me wear to get directions on how to do a fl mod like yours, that would be great. Or just tell me how you did yours in a step by step manner that would also be great. :)

You obviously haven't read many of my posts from the past LOL.

I'm a babbler : )
All you need is his flashlight***, battery connector and I had already another flashlight from dollar store that was used for the Very tight black fitting ( could buy a hunk of slighty expandable tubing too..I guess) between the silver and red.

I can say the silver part which allows the led's to shine through (learned after the fact) should be cleaned and repainted after making the side holes-because it's starting to flake. Next tme..I would take the coating off.. mod it and then do a decent paint job on it.

But basically I followed the mod instruction for the momentary switch from the modders forum here at ecf. If you can't find it ..let me know..I did post a link somewhere to it in this forum too lol...here it is again http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...lights-push-push-off-make-them-momentary.html

Then it's a lot of patience getting the top part out without damaging anything. Follow the how to instructions for battery connectors at MV "how to".

I used a pen type utility knife to open hole up in the lcd board to drop my postive down through it from the battery. I took the negative and fed it off to the side and connected it with the grounds on the side of the lcd board..then I took those grounds and connected it to those metal tabs from scrap flashlight...to affix to inside flashlight tube

I also used one of the tabs and shorten the positive spring on the base. ( do you need to be told where soldering happens? )

UGH I am going to stop here lol I am sure your eyeballs are starting to float to the Back of your head!

It is pretty easy!! I have no real knowledge of any of this stuff. I am an artist..I can paint but I am a LOTS worse hack then HOOG! Heck not sure I can even call myself a hack..I am you maybe? Cept I jumped in and tried it. I never made anything like this stuff before. I paint and click pretty pictures LOL

(TAP TAP TAP eyes back down)

Just jump in..It's what I did and became a VERY happy vaper. If you get lost.. I am here to help ya roflmao too funny me..someone wants my help? Modding?? HOOG LOOK what you've done to me LOL

*** I bought one red and one silver (used the silver base to the red flashlight in that mod) STILL have the silver flashlight with a red base and going to attempt to 5 volts it with those 18350 1200 mah and regulator

Can you get an 18650 into the case of Hoog's $2 ones? ... I think Hoog's comment is that an 18500 will fit ... but, he wasn't sure that the extra 15mm. on an 18650 would go in there?

I did- see my "where's my 9.40 cents" post. Inverted the inside led FL part to external and shorten the springs. Fits fine.

Jaded that part took forever for me. I bet there is a better way then what I am about to tell you. Hopefully someone will post it soon. This was the hardest part though!

What I did was take a utility knife to the top and kept going around the outside.
Then I took a screwdriver end with some added cushioing and pushed up through the FL...I went back and forth on these two things and finally got movement where it would all come out. Patience was my key..I did it while doing other things*..back and forth.

I am sure this is not what you wanted to hear LOL Darn it..it should be easy..welcome to modding : ) efforts are rewarded in the end.

*switch off to doing the momentary switches on both Flash Lights I had.

I will try and see what I can do. I think I am gonna have to buy another part not sure where to get it tho, for the inside part you talked about. I had no idea how big this battery was gonna be, its the size of the flash light almost. I think I will take a nap and start fresh, I should go to the bank but i know when I do im ordering an 808 for a on the go piece.

I got mine in today and I am already at a loss lol, how do you even get the led's out?

Easiest way is to take a socket either deep well or with an extenxtion that fits in the tube, with a little bit of space. Hold the tube and tap the socket so that the led's and circuit board pop out the top..

7/8" fender washers press nicely into tube if you decide not to use the top part can with it. Make sure you get the cheapies with the small hole in them. I solder two together, putinng a small rim of solder around the edges (helps with the press fit..) Drill out the washer for your connector size, solder it to the washer from the back..

If you haven't seen Petercro's new mod it's awesome. It uses an 18650 in a project box and copper tape instead of a batt holder. Here's the thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/64983-e-pipe-juice-machine-11.html
Ooooooo I hadn't seen the version he did with 18650s... I wish I was that skilled. Got a JuiceBox on the way, but I'd love to have a version that uses stock attys. Carts just don't cut it for me anymore and dripping and driving is asking for trouble. I guess cartomizers are next best. Wish Madvapes would carry some blank kr808d's. Would cut the number of suppliers I order from down to 2.
