I'll use this thread to post updates on how the whole modding / silver bar replacement is holding up on my REO

Rob expressed interest in seeing how it maintains over time, so this one is for the man

Here is a .6 coil, 7 wraps of kanthal 26 I rolled last night

battery (Sony) is giving 4 volts the first few seconds and then drops to 3.99 V

I don't fire more than 5 ~ 6 secs at the time, worried I'll burn the just put in place cotton, and it's not my style of vaping anyways

haven't applied noalox or anything else, only tweak I did since building this up is flatten the tip a bit to be 1mm at its narrowest

this is a week after initial modding, will update in two more weeks, then maybe a month

So, you're getting a V-drop of just 0.15V. . . . . Nice!

Mine seem to range between 0.2 and 0.25V; depending on the REO, the atty, the build, etc.

With the added security you have thats certainly the way to go. A .1 or .15 volt difference is nothing yu notice really

You may actually hit the 4 volt if you were in sonys, im just guessing.

At least that's true between the sonys and panasonics i have. Never had a 18650 aw

You guys are way over my head with all the new mods...but much respect for those with the know how!

I understand what they're talking about but will not change my Reo until Rob makes those changes. Love the FZ reference. We lost a good one there. My all time favorite ........ (too many things to list)

I don't know how much difference it makes for the numbers (but just in case anyone is sharpening their pencils); I'm measuring V-drop on mostly 0.4Ω coils.
