I successfully purchased a black / black grand on Tuesday. I have not received a tracking number in my email nor on paypal.com as of Friday mid morning.
Is this normal? I've searched across ecf but I have not found any threads asking this question.

Slightly related to the above but a little diff as it's here in the uk:
My reo mini has made it's way over to the uk now and as of 01/09/11 it's been in customs clearance ever since. I've had no movement or update on this since the 1st... Thing is I've got the tracking number which is the USPS one which I suspect is no longer valid here in the uk. Any uk reo owners know who will now be posting this in the uk? Royal mail maybe? Also any ideas how long it might stay stuck in customs clearance? I don't know what they need to clear and if there is an issue or import vat to pay why no one from customs appears to have contacted me about this? Any ideas guys?

This happened to ufo from Italy too. Let me see if he has any ideas.
I also think this has happened to IanW lately too. I will send him a message as well.

.In Italy, many have had similar problems with the shipment of the Reo.
When the package changes the country should maintain its tracking number. But often it happens that the tracker placed online (at least here in Italy) is not updated in real time.
Have you a number of post office that you can call? In these cases we have it and call to get information.
With regard The custom, some of my friends have waited a few more days, because their packages were stopped for controls (usually are made at random, so it's only a matter of luck!
). However, in the worst case, the package will surely come, but with a customs duty of about 11 euro, to be paid to the postman
However, do not worry, until now the mods, although after a long time (up to 28-30days) are always arrived in Europe safe and in perfect health
PayPal sends out the tracking number. It almost always goes into my spam folder. Make sure you check that. But if you do not get a PayPal email at all for tracking then call or PM Rob. Usually within two days of purchase your REO is in the mail!
Thanks to all for the advice and heads up. A fellow uk reo user has assured me a little by letting me know his reos were also kept in customs for some time before being released, it's Likely I'll get my hands on it from the depot at some point next week at the earliest. Can't wait!
I love that Rob requires Signiture Required on his shipping. I'm never home when the mail-lady comes, and I hate the idea of my parcels being left in the apartement hallway by my door for any skeezic to come by and steal it.
In fact, I have a lot of difficulty with other vendors even getting this kind of shipping... they just have no option for it on their sites. With REOs, all my anxiety is relieved.

This is a great thread to read before a hugh sale! If this is your first big sale night, there are many pointers here. It just might save you some problems when trying to purchase your REO!
Funny, I have heard such great things about the REO, and I made good tips last night, so I logged on to the website (not knowing how difficult they are to attain) and just bought one, no problems. Had no idea it's so difficult to get them
