How fast can we expect them to go ? I'm trying to get my hands on my 1st Reo and for some reason I feel it's gonna be really tough. I'll be on as soon as they go up on the site so lets hope I can get my atty on one !!

A first release of a new REO model will no doubt mean a slammed website. Expect it to load really slow. If you are going for a VV Woodvil there is quite a bit of interest in grabbing one of those. If you have read this thread you are prepared for what will happen.

Visit the site before it is closed to add inventory. If Robert loads them on the site before the sale you can pick your favorites and know where they are on the page. That will help.

Just remember to wait for the pages to load. It is tough, but does not help if you press buttons twice!

FYI: if you find one you want, hurry through the checkout process. Just because you have a REO in your shopping cart doesn't mean it's held for you. I had a few 18490 REOs snaked from my cart when the site bogged down and there was a delay in the transaction. Made it all the way to the paypal confirmation screen and it wouldn't go through because there was nothing in my inventory. Not whining, mind you.. I got my 3rd choice.. but just informing the new folks to the nuances of sale-night. ;)

Yep, it is true. You can put them in your cart and be all the way to the payment screen and they can become out of stock. You must remove them from your cart, update your cart, then go back and pick another one. If you have two or more in your cart and one becomes out of stock you must remove it and update your cart before you can proceed. If the page stalls and won't send you to the payment screen, CHECK YOUR CART! That is the only way to see why you can't check out. Tips courtesy of a seasoned buyer in some of the busiest sales.

old thread, new question. I've never purchased through his site yet, but mocked up an order to see how it goes.
I got all the way to confirm order, which I'm not ready to do yet, and there was no place for payment.
So I assume after I confirm I will be sent via email a paypal request.
So I must also assume the email I register w/must me the same one I use for paypal. (I have a lot of emails for different stuff)
otherwise how will he know who I am?
Is this correct? or is it like buy-it now and I will be directed to paypal's site where I can choose how I want to pay?

If I remember correctly, you're redirected to PayPal to submit your payment as part of the check out process. So no, you won't get a payment request e-mail from PayPal. You should get a payment confirmation e-mail instead. You'll also get a shipping confirmation e-mail to that same e-mail account. :)

You also should remember you may have to go to your paypal account to find the tracking number.

Also they will be shipped signature required for delivery! Very important to have someone home to sign. If not possible you will get a slip you can take to the P.O. and pick it up.

I just completed an order. Just like buy it now. Redirected to Paypal after hitting confirm, except I could not change my ship to address preference. I can always change this on ebay but not here. Reomods site did allow for a shipping address which I listed as work address.
So my reomods printable invoice says ship to work, and the paypal invoice says ship to home. I'll just wait and see what happens.:)

Also one of my question's answered, it doesn't matter what email you register w/a reomods, paypal will use your paypal registered email.
(in my case they were different)
