Quote from article:

"After nearby homes were evacuated, the material was safely detonated early Thursday morning. At midday, a commercial HAZMAT crew was still removing buckets and barrels through the garage."

As much as this guy loves his drippers, it looks to me like there was definitely something else going on there, something not vape-related at all...

My guess is he bought into the fear mongering and had gallons and gallons of nic, PG and VG in his stockpile...

I know this whole thing sounds ridiculous to us. But I can see how ATF might consider a 55gal drum of VG as suspicious: starting material for manufacturing nitroglycerin. And the spring-loaded stainless tube in that dripper could easily be confused with a silencer.

Not a Very Detailed Article.

But I find this Photo to be Interesting....

If those Container are full of Nicotine Base, PG and VG. One could Assume that he might have been Making e-Liquids for Sale out of His Home.

BTW - If this Happened in Citrus Heights California, possession of a Silencer is a Very Serious Charge. Because California is Relentless about Enforcement of Firearms Crimes.

They are going to have to be a little more specific than this before I take them seriously.

From Uma's link:
According to the jail website, Crase's bail remains at $500,000 on the three original booking charges: possession of a destructive device, possession of ingredients to make a destructive device and possession of a firearm silencer.

Being Re-Arrested isn't exactly the Norm. But is Isn't Unheard of Either.

I knew someone who had their House Raided. He was Arrested for Possession and Intent to Manufacture/Sell "Breaking Bad" material. That and Possession of an Automatic Weapon.

Yikes! Didn't think I would Ever See him Again.

But the Chemical Tests showed that it Wasn't "Breaking Bad" Chemicals. And he had Dis-Abled the Automatic Weapon so it was Non-Functional. So they Dropped those Charges and he was in the Clear for some Heavy Duty Felonies.

Unfortunately, they Rearrested him for Unlawful Storage of Hazardous Chemicals. A Misdemeanor not a Felony. But a Misdemeanor all the Same.

So the new arraignment after the 're-arrest' (lol?) was the 19th, why has there been no update?

What the heck was ACTUALLY found/the guy REALLY charged with?

Well, since they blew up the evidence, it could have been anything and if they knew what they were blowing up, you'd think it would have been reported. All in all, this is very strange.
