There's an easy way to remove an Atomic clone pin?! My last clone was ruined when I tried to extract its pin. I swear that ....... was welded.

The authentic atomic pin is much easier to remove.

Yes...

Place deck into a wood faced bench vise with the 510 pointed down, adjust vice so wood faces are just touching the 510 threads, tighten the center pin coil screw down, use a heavy duty #1 Phillips and a 16oz dead blow hammer to tap the screw driver gently. Once the screw head Is bottomed out on the deck back the screw out 5 turns and tap very gently, once bottomed on the deck repeat. Once the pin is 10 threads below the deck use a solid nail-set with a head the same size as the od of the center post and drive it through very gently. Center pin will be on the floor unscathed.

To press back flip the deck over (510 up) , line up the coil holes and drive back in with a nylon hammer also very gently. Do not drive all the way in before checking the alignment of the coil holes. If coil holes are not aligned correctly us a flat head screwdriver on the base of the pin to turn the slot. Once aligned put back in the vise and tap to make the pin just flush with the 510 threads.

Do not use this method on a Cyclone! Cyclones are threaded and while this method would work it will also destroy the bushing that the pin is THREADED into.. The Atomic has no threads.

Man, just drill through the insulator. Way easier and the same results.

Mine are a #53 vertical hole with two #53 horizontal holes I hate having to squeeze the crap out of the squonk bottles. Actually considering #52 on the next order of bits. The last I heard to drill the insulator you had to use #68 bit. Too small for my fingers, I want to vape not thumb wrestle. I'm glad it works for you but I'm fine with my current hand strength. I believe quigs was doing 4 holes in the insulator with a bit in the high 60's, now that would work well but every time you toast a bushing you have to do it again. I'm not sure how the Atomic bushings stand up to heat but if it's anything like my Kayfuns they will have to be replaced every 3 months. I hope that's not the case but...

I drilled mine with a #60 drill bit. I went up through the insulator and it squonks the same as my Cyclone does that was done at the factory. I vape 70+% VG liquid also. I think it would handle 100% VG no problem. It took me all of about 15 minutes to drill it and clean it up and I was vaping shortly thereafter...

100% vg through a #60 hole? Remind me never to shake your hand or worse yet thumb wrestle. The #54 in the Cyclone annoyed me. It would go through fine it just made it feel like the bottle was going to burst.

Yes, but we are running multiple channels. I have my atomic drilled with two 61 channels and it's no extra pressure. Also, I've got at least 12 RDA and none of them have lost an insulator. The kayfun is a different animal.

With multiple holes I have no doubt it will flow as well as a driller. My argument was the previous statement that a single #60 through an insulator will flow the same as a #54 through the center(stock bf Cyclone). Fluid dynamics says differently. I guess all that really matters is that we are both satisfied with our respective outcomes.

The question I would impose: if you were buying a new atty and all other aspects being equal what would you buy? An atty that has been center bored or one with a Swiss cheesed bushing?

The only real upshot that I can see of drilling the bushing is that you can use an atty with a chromed brass center pin as long as the chrome is not damaged. The A4 comes to mind.

Here is a 1:1 clone that is excellent EHpro Atomic Clone RDA. Lot's of discussion on modding it to bf @http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/566507-bf-experiment.html. It is very easy to do.

Good lord that shipping was quick. Just received the Atomic from AZ to Miami.

Like mackman said you drill from the bottom up through the top...
