so my project this weekend is to build a mod that works...haha... let's see how that goes.

I am a complete and entire fool when it comes to putting things together but i have a hubby who is more than happy to walk me through things and explain so i can learn. that being said i have never made a mod, just started vaping end of march this year and i am totally hooked.... its my new obsession!

can anyone point me in the direction, post links, etc. on mods that would work for my KR808 cartomizers?
here's what i need information wise... can the mods posted on these threads substitute the connectors (ex. most mods i see are for the 501 connections, can i just find an 808 connector and substitute)?
Are there any idiot proof step by step guides that will work with 808 cartomizers that don't require me to be a genious? Am i even using the right terms? Im a little overwhelmed at the moment!

I have like 5 million questions, mainly because i have no idea what i am talking about, never mind what i want or need to ask! ANY HELP would be appreciated (even if its just pointing me in a direction). I can't be the only newbie that is asking this!!! :p

This is what i am trying to do: build a mod that works with my KR808 cartomizers....... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

808 or 510, Mods are dumb, they will never know. If you see a mod you like and think it is something you can build, either go with the 808 or use an adapter from 510 to 808.
The mod won't know the difference.
If you like working with metal (drills and stuff) the flashlight or pipe mod will work. If plastic is you game go with the box.
Connectors and adapters for either model are available. More reading is in order while you wait for your parts order to arrive :) If you already have the parts, find the model that you like and bug the originator (PM to see if available to help guide you). Plenty of box modders out there.

thanks for the advice rocketman, no that you've pointed that out to me, it mentally opened alot of doors adaptor wise. I used to see everything limited to just my KR808's and it made a lot of things unusable out there. But all i have to do is slap an adaptor up on there and boooya grandma it works w/ the cartomizers! :D

Haven't started my mod yet, but i am purchasing parts tonight and plan to build some things with one of the technicians i work with. I work for an electrical company, so in theory i should be ok - RIGHT?

I'll post pictures and keep you guys posted (and by guys, i mean the only one who responded...) on how things progress with my modding capabilities. Thanks for taking the time to post a response.

When you start putting it together, if you have any questions, ask. There are a lot of people in here who will help. I, like misterD, missed this thread til now. What kind of mod are you making? Box, flashlight, something else? One battery, two? 3.7v, 5v, 6v? That link misterD posted has some good tutorials in it.

I use 808 & 510 cartos. I put the 808/901 connectors on everything I build. I have an adapter for the 510s. Also, since it's hard sometimes to keep solder out of the center hole in the 808/901 connectors, I have a 901 to 808 adapter also.:)

Good luck & keep us updated. Don't forget to include pics.
