I have moved to MM and rebuild-able attys recently and love it!! there is so much to learn and so many different brands styles and types, Which is what brings me to my next question. With so many online stores and reviews I find myself wondering which ones are real rather than a "knockoff" or which ones are actually high quality.

Where on ECF can I find a List of mods with pictures and reviews?

I have a Ba Gua with an RSST atty right now. Pretty sure ill get a Ithaka or odysseus next!

There is a review section if you scroll down on the forum. As far as real vs. knockoffs, it usually is pretty easy to tell. Most vendors will specifically state whether what you are buying is a 'clone' or not first of all. Secondly, if something is readily available, it is most likely a clone/knockoff. Many of the authentic high end stuff is not made on the scale that it is sought after, meaning it will only be available with a few retailers and often it will be the kind of stuff that you need to hunt for or get on a waiting list. Lastly, you will definitely notice the differences in price. Many of the authentic, high-end mods will go for $150-$200+, while a clone might set you back $50.

the best way to be safe is only buy from a trusted or reputable seller, even if it means waiting. most of the better stores wont risk a bad rep by playing around. in several cases you can go direct to the people who make them, not always but many have their own websites. if you really must have sign upo for a notification and wait it out. this is what I do usually. or start stalking every day.

I have heard a couple times now of people getting ripped on craigslist and shady b&m's

the only other way is get verified and buy from good people in the classifieds.
