Im partial to the sub tank form momandpop you can choose what resistance carto to put in it. The sub tank has a fill hole and is much easier to fill. The problem with the chibi is having to slide the needle between the grommet and tank and it's too easy to make the mistake of filling too fast and not allowing the displace air to escape and this results in flooding

You left out a few tanks.... Like the J-tank from Electronic sticks...

I have had 3 3ml in rotation with Boge 3 ohm carts since I got my Lava Tube at the end of Nov. and have had not a single issue (excluding a user error one tried vaping before letting wick... Yuck)... J-tank comes in 2 sizes 3 & 5 ml but is for stand cartos... It also comes in a bunch of snazzy colors :D except chrome/stainless :(

Tanks are irrelevant, it's the cartos that matter. I care about design. I don't want sliding. I see good reviews on mom and pops, but no videos. Except the review te website gives you. Also syringe method is no problem. Helpz

Not entirely true... Quality of the parts and the way they go together can be a contributor to a mess (leak) or lack there of... Vapian had a great review of the Smoke tek DC tank and visually showed how one sealed well on the orings in the sleeve and the other was flawed and had been leaking...

Your are also totally correct that vapor, TH, flavor, etc has nothing to do with the tank but the performance of the carto itself since the tank know matter the maker is just a receptacle that holds the juice to feed said carto...

Cheers...

My question, what do you guys prefer the side refill mini sub my mom and pops or the smoktech method? I'd be using 3.0ohms in both, just wondering what would vape better. The mom and pops MINI sub 3.0ohms cartos or the 3.0ohms cartos from madvapes. (the replaceable cartos that fit in the tanks)

The carto's that momandpop and madvapes uses is most likely madvapes.. it doesn't reallymatter, you'll replace it sooner or later. The mini sub I got from momandpop had a 3.0 boge in it. The larger sub tank has a 1.7 smoktech in it. I originally got 2, a mini and a reg sub but now those parts are mixed in with the rest of my tubes I cut from polycarb and grommets I bought on amazon. I myself, like the smoktech cartos, they wick much better for me.. but many love the boge. It depends on what device your using them with .. if it's a variable voltage device, the 3ohm carto might be better. The sub tanks are so easy to fill, not heard any negative reviews on them.

I have the mini sub with the 2.0 on my Riva 510, the M1A1 (1") Buzz Tank on my Buzz Pro and I have the VPX Cartomator Cartomizer Stainless Steel Tank that I initially had planned on using on my Reo but am now using it on another Riva model until I get something else ( I don't think the Reo NEEDS a tank!). I have to say that (for now after about 10 days of usage on the mini-sub that I like it and it tastes/performs very well for the price. My mom likes them so much she just stocked up and ordered 4 more... she got her first last week. The Chibi lasted me 4 days before it stopped working. There are some other tanks I'd like to try but they'll expensive....the top 10 tank list I found here on ECF has some interesting picks on it. If I had to pick one out of the 3, I'd pick the VPX (close call though)... it's the only one that has never leaked one drop of juice on me.

The chibi is just a poly tube and a couple vinyl grommets. It doesn't really "quit" working. What usually happens is when filling, if not careful, the displaced air inside the tank isn't allowed to escape, creating too much pressure and then the carto dumps it's juice. The momandpop sub tank doesn't have this problem because it can be filled by the side port. Plus, each grommet has an o-ring on it resulting in a nice, snug seal.

I may have wicking problems (carto issue) but havent had any flooding with this type setup.
