I would consider myself a Power-Puff Kid (hard hitter), when it comes
to vaping. My typical usage centers around the Boge Leo with a new
cartomizer. White Stag Vapor afforded me the opportunity to test/
abuse/punish the innokin LEA and asked me to detail my experience with
the product.

First Impressions:
I received the package and found a very stylish box wrapped in
cellophane. The kit came with the all the stuff included in the Basic
starter kit (listed below). As I inspected the LEA, I was impressed at
the attention to detail and finished look of the matte black unit. At
first glance, the LEA looked like a pen that I typically carry around in
my shirt pocket. At first, I wasn’t sure if the “tank” was a dummy like
what shipped with other atomizers that shipped with the Boge LEO.
After comparing it to one of the other included tanks, it was the real
thing.

Preparation to get things started:
The LEA uses the same mini-usb type-A male cable the LEO uses,
so for me, it was just a matter of plugging it into a cable that I had
already been using for charging. When charging, the button LED
cycles through Green/Red/Yellow colors and settles on yellow or red
depending on how low the charge is. When the unit was charged, the
LED went out indicating that the unit was fully charged.

I pulled the cap off of the LEA and exposed the atomizers and tank.
The tank has a firm, but not tight fit into the atomizer. Meaning that it
does not pop out on its own. The tank has a rubber insert that keeps
the juice in the tank. Initially, I put approximately 6-7 drops into the
tank.

Let the Vaping Begin:

At first, pressing the button, the LED showed a green light. I would
assume that was indicating that the LEA was fully charged. The
shape of the tank tip was a little odd at first (I am used to the LEO
cartomizer tips). That aside, the draw was about half the volume of
plume when compared to the LEO. The LEA puts out a good vape,
less then what I was used to, but still a very good vape. After a few
hits, the atomizer started heating up and it needed to cool off. This
gave me the opportunity to switch back and forth between the LEO
and the LEA. Outside of the mouthpiece or tip differences, there was

little to distinguish between the usage of the two models. The LEA
puts out a satisfying “cloud” sensation. I did notice that the flavor
seemed “clean”. I can only think that is from no flavor change from
coming out of the tank. I would say that my typical usage of the LEA
would yield about 5-6 hours of use. The tank on the LEA does not
hold as much as the Cartomizer on my LEO, but that is to be expected
based on the size of the units when compared. When I compared it to
the carts and atomizer of the original LEO, I found myself refilling the
LEA at least 2-to-1 by comparison.

Secondary Impression:
I would have to say that I prefer the type of tip used on the LEO, but
the shape of the tip on the LEA tank is not bad at all. The unit as a
whole felt very comfortable in my hands and would be more preferred
by people with smaller hands and think that the LEO is too big. The
flavor from the LEA is constant; it really doesn’t have that “harsh” pull
when it is getting low like a Cart or Cartomizer with the LEO. The LED’s
during usage lit up based on a battery level: Green-Full, Yellow-Middle,
and Red-Low. That is one feature that is missing with the LEO that I
wish it had. The battery shut-off feature is great for conserving battery
life and avoiding “accidental” usage when the unit is in a pocket.

I ran Dekang e-juice and 80PG/20VG e-juice from Vaporbomb in the
INNOKIN LEA; both performed quite well.

I would recommend this unit as an Alternative to the low usage you
get from standard 510 and for those that don’t like the weight and
diameter of the larger Boge LEO. The tank makes refilling much nicer
than carts and cartomizers.
