More attys, how comes?

i thought that the legislation in both United States and United Kingdom meant that only devices that were produced before a certain date could be sold?

There are constantly new attys and mods being produced. Sometimes new versions of existing products but sometimes brand new.

I don't bother keeping up to date as much as I should but can somebody explain why?

The world is bigger than the UK and the US, and it will always be possible to get atties even if they'd be banned altogether.

Really??? What else is there? (Sweden, obviously )

However, I thought that products were only able to be sold in these countries until a certain date?
What was the point in all of this grandfather business?

It wouldn't apply to the rest of the world anyway.
