Sorry for more n00bish questions. I tried to find the answers here... I found several EGO-C vs EGO-T threads on here, but honestly those threads made me so much more confused than I was starting out.

I understand that the -C is for exchangable atomizer whereas -T is for tank..... but it's the replies to the EGO-C vs -T threads that have me even more confused. For example:

"I use CE2/clearomizer/fluxomizers.

I would choose the Ego C, because they look cool and i've never tried one"

THIS confuses the hell out of me!! So if you are going to put on your own Clearomizer like the CE2, then aren't you essentially JUST using the EGO battery? And if you put a CE2 onto an EGO-C, isn't that EXACTLY the same thing as putting a CE2 onto an EGO-T?

I also don't understand EGO vs EGO-T.... I am pretty sure I bought a regular EGO at the mall yet it came with a tank style Clearomizer.

Aren't all the 'battery' side of these e-cigs going to be the same? If so, why all the threads comparing them when it seems like 90% of the people replying use a clearimizer/whatevomizer other than stock?

The actual black battery for both eGo is basically the same. The ego-t kit comes with an atomizer/tank and the ego-c comes with a atomizer-cone (that seperate)/tank. Neither deliver system get very good reviews on the forum. They tend to leak and be a bit finicky. The batteries though are the same. Most people end up putting the stock atomizer/tank in a drawer and try their luck with clearomizers. So you are correct, once you put a ce2 on an eGo-t or eGo-c battery, it is the same thing. The standard non-variable voltage eGo battery is fixed at around 3.4 volts. What you attach to it matters. Here is a vaping chart that gives a range of wattages that will give you the best vaping experience.

The math is as follows volts x volts / ohms = watts. So, 3.4 x3.4 = 11.56 if you use a 2.4 ohm clearo you would be at around 4.8 watts (a little low for most. If you use a single coil low resistance 1.8 ohm the wattage goes to 6.4 watts (a little more like it). For an inexpensive alternative you could get an eGo-Twist or Vision Spinner. With these devices you can adjust the voltage to whatever range best suits you. In that regard "The battery side of e-cigs" are NOT the same. As you read the posts you will find that the power supply side of vaping is complex, but you will get the hang of it.

Yea, Vision Spinner....1000mah or 1300 mah...best bet!

I agree with the spinner :) If you are set on going with joyetech get the ego c upgrade which will allow you to use it in fixed voltage or unregulated mode which will allow you to use it at 4.2v off the charger until it drops its voltage down.Same threading and size as the others but 2 options for voltage.Hope this helps. Also Ecigbestsave has great deal for the ego c upgrade .

I sort of jumped from a DSE901 kit straight to higher-end mods. Got a ZMax, then a Silver Bullet, then an eVic.

I just got an eGo Twist two weeks ago, and I'll tell you, I LOVE that thing. It's smaller than the big-battery mods, so it fits in a pocket easier. It has VV, so you can really "dial in" the perfect power for a specific juice without worrying about exactly matching the resistance on your atty or carto. It's a really nice device. My only complaint is that my 47-year-old eyes sometimes have difficulty reading the dial.

I'll be buying more VV eGos in the future, but my next one will probably be a Spinner, becuause it's easier to read the markings on the dial...

Between the regular eGo and the eGo-T, the only difference on the batteries themselves is that the eGo-T battery has the 5-click on/off feature but the regular eGo doesn't.
The liquid delivery systems are difference too (but they are interchangeable).
The eGo-T cartridge is a tank w/o polyfill. The eGo cartridge is a not a tank - it has polyfill inside.
The atomizer in the eGo-T atomizer-cone has a spike which is used to pierce the T style tank. The one in the eGo atomizer-cone doesn't has the spike.
The best feature of the Joyetech eGo series of products is that components are interchangeable. So you can "upgrade" the liquid delivery system of the regular eGo to that of the eGo-T by simply attaching the T style atomizer-cone and the T style tank. (And both the eGo and eGo-T batteries can use the eGo-C modular atomizer and cone instead of the atomizer-cone combo unit.)

So if you are going to put on your own Clearomizer like the CE2, then aren't you essentially JUST using the EGO battery? And if you put a CE2 onto an EGO-C, isn't that EXACTLY the same thing as putting a CE2 onto an EGO-T?
Yes, essentially the same except the 5-click on/off feature that is lacking on a regular eGo batty and the LED charge indicator which is lacking in both the regular eGo and the eGo-T.

I am pretty sure I bought a regular EGO at the mall yet it came with a Tank style Clearomizer.
A lot of vendors don't sell the "official" Joyetech kit. They mix and match to create their own kits that they think will sell better.

And on the battery side, the eGo-T and eGo-C are the same except the eGo-C has the white/Sky Blue/Blue charge capacity indicator function while the T (and the regular eGo) doesn't.
Then, the -C Twist is essentially a regular -C except that:
1) the Twist has a variable voltage (VV) function
2) the Twist is longer and heavier than the regular -C of the same mAH capacity
3) the Twist doesn't has the white/Sky Blue/Blue charge capacity indicator function anymore

If I could do it all over again, I would of actually went with the vision spinner. Over time my twist's dial got stiffer, whereas my buddy's vision took 5 major falls, and his dial still spins smoothly. Maybe I got unlucky, but a few other vaper's reported that the dial got stiffer over time. It still performed great mind you, just a little quip.
