I recently started using an E-cig to try and save money. In the process I have spent over $250.
I have had very good luck with the atty's so far...I bought 3 of them a month and a half ago, and
they are all still working fine.

Here is my question...

I found that straight PG is rather expensive when bought through E-cig stores.
I found a place on-line that sells a gallon of USP grade Propylene Glycol for $20.
(This would last me forever.)
Is this the same thing that is in the e-liquids?

Yea apparently links get shortened or something, a Google search for "usp grade propylene glycol" brings up a lot of hits for vendors that sell the stuff by the gallon for a little more then $20, but it's food grade, honestly it's worth the money and probably a once in a lifetime purchase.

There are a number of vendors here that sell unflavored nic juice. I got mine from myfreedomsmokes.com. There are lots of different companies that sell flavoring and you can get more info about them in the DIY Liquids section of the forum. I like Capella Flavors because they don't have any chemical taste and frequently have good sales. I've also had a lot of fun with the Tasty Puff flavors that are sold at smoke/head shops and online. For great premade liquids check out Tasty Vapors. You can buy the high level nic juice and then buy the doubler (which has no nicotine) and mix them to stretch the juice without losing flavor level, so it's very economical. Plus the flavors Geoff mixes are amazing.

Welcome to the Forums and glad you found vaping :).

Chris at myfreedomsmokes is the BEST. I buy my unflavored concentrated nic from him.
I don't buy the bulk PG because the nic juice I get from myfreedomsmokes is in PG and I mix it with VG (and flavorings). A gallon will probably last YEARS.
Don't know if you've seen this but here's the on line mixing calculator I use eJuice Recipe Calculator
I find it very handy. Just fill in the amounts and hit enter. Easy!

you realize that the PG you buy for $20 doesn't have any nicotine in it, right?.....
