Seems like my threads die out pretty fast, I don't think people like to read much. Seems like they die out between 10 and 20 unless it is a hot topic.

First of all I wish these darned vendors would put the darn specs of there products in there discriptions. This would save us all countless, unrecoverable, precious hours. After reading here in the forum I realize that things such as voltage, resistance, threading, juice PG and vg percentages and even what diameter will fit through a cone if you want to use one needs to all be taken into consideration when trying to get a PG to preform up to where it should. These things are VERY difficult to get answers too, heck even the coustomer support at every palace I have called don't have the info I need handy or at all. It makes me feel like one of those pain in the ... customers who you just can't please. However I feel like most of this info SHOULD be posted or at least be known by the vendor if they are going to sell it. Most can't even tell me the dimensions of there batteries. I'm just getting frustrated having to ask so many questions thati should be able to find answers to on vendors sites, we are the consumer we shouldn't be having to answer these questions for them. That's all for this rant, I'm sure when three frustration level gets high enough I'll have another.

Now back to the matter at hand. I've been trying to stay away from the ego and will continue to do so. I already have kr808 stuff and more on the way. So that is my platform of choice. I don't want mods either. Simplicity is what I desire. Currently I have a 380 mAh and 320 mAh v4l kr808d-1 battery, the wow cartos were alright but they are very inconsistant first one out of the pack was wonderful then it was all downhill. Ordered some wow blanks which should be here tomorrow. The prefilled ones had a harsh burning sensation after like an hour or less of light vapeing, I am going to assume this measn they have burnt but can't for the life of me figure out why they were filled after they were opeded before useing them and the first one preformed wonderfully, seven days of use, and they were all filled the same way. The first onto was kept wet just as the others, although except for that first one all taste horrible and burn my throat. Don't knonw what to do about this. The juice being used is from misty mountain vapor because they sell them locally and I can try small samples, I have no clue and neither do the guys selling it in the store what the PG anvil vg percentages are. So I am going to try v4l's wow juice on some blank wow cartos to see if that helps. I also ordered 1 vertical dual coil 3.5 ml 1.5 ohm tank to try out. If anyone has any experiences like this or suggestions and resolutions please share.
I would like to try a larger battery and want to keep it in the kr808 family. I saw the elite and they look great but I see no up side from what I already have. Its batt is 380 mAh so there's no improvement there, not sure what the manufacturers thought process was when designing them but whatever. So my search goes on. I seem to have only 3 choices in the 808 platform that I have come across. The pigcig from lecig PigCig by LeCig - PigCig Personal Vaporizer Mega Batteries ,the 808 ego from mad vapes 808 Black Ego Battery , but it says not to use any cartomizers less than 2.0 ohms on any ego, so I guess the 1.5 ohm tank would be out for this batt, not sure what would happen if it were used? Please enlighten me as I am a noob and the Igo from nhaler iGo Battery , only the pigcig of witch I have any sort of specs to go off of. Mike from lecig emailed me back stating the pigcig off the charger puts out around 4.2 volts and drops to 3.7 volts as it drains, not sure I trust this an I can't seem to find any one who has test this but have seen some arguments about it, any thoughts or experiences in thither pleas share as well. I don't liker the cone that comes on the pig cig but could live with it if forced to and if there was a wat to modify its opening to accept larger than 9.2 mm cartos if any one can link me a tutorial or video on doing this much appreciated, or if anyone knows of a big bore cone that would fit that would be cool too. Of the three witch one would work best for what I want to do witch is use a bigger battery with a larger capacity cartomizers at the lowest resistance that wont give me a burnt taste and be able to get a cone to fit it one way or another. Don't want anything more than around 900 mAh, I think 650 would be fine to start with to get comfortable with the bigger batt. Juice PG and vg ratio suggestions to optomize the suggested cartomizers resistance and the battery's voltage as I truley have no clue as well as where to get suggested juices would be great. Oh yea we never even touched on cut off times witch is another one the vendors struggle to answer.

Hmmm, lets see I think that just about covers it all.

I will probably not get all my answers and will probably have to painstakingly type out more threads with one finger on this darned tablets virtual key board, grrrr, I need a Bluetooth key board! Theres probably some odd words in here, this auto correct is evil sometimes.

Thanks for all your great help so far and your future responses.

Do NOT use the tank you bought on your ecig or your going to ruin it. Low Resistances and dual coils are only for bigger battery PVs. Slim ecigs, like you have, can only use standard resistance attys and cartos.

Why are you against getting an eGo type PV?
Saying you want a large battery but saying it has to be KR808 is like saying you want to smoke cigarettes that improve your health. Staying with 808 slim ecigs is going to greatly limit your options, especially in using low resistance stuff.
The elite is still a slim ecig and why the battery is alittle better, its still relatively low and you still would only be able to use standard resistance attys/cartos.
For the price of the elite, or even cheaper, you can get a bigger battery PV that will be a LOT better, give you alot bettery battery life, and also allow you to use low resistance stuff.
Check out the E-power, kGo, and Riva. They are eGo type PVs, but they are 3.7V while the eGo is only 3.3-3.4V. The 3.7V PVs give a great vape and can handle the lower resistances alot better, like 1.5ohm and 1.7ohm cartos

It is my understanding these generation 2 kr808 v4l batts opperate at 3.7 volts till the die with no sizable dropoff. I did a lot of research on them before I bought them. As such why would the tank I mentioned not work on them, these v4l batts i have aer exactly what this tank is marketed for?

No, dual coil tanks are marketed for PVs that can actually handle them. If you read that you shouldnt use below 2.0ohm on an eGo, which is true and I dont recommend using below 2.0ohm on an eGo, but people do, a slim ecig should especially not use low resistance cartos, especially a 1.5ohm dual coil. Slim ecigs are not made to handle them and thats why slimecigs can only use standard resistance attys and cartos.

If you want to use low resistances, you need to go with a bigger battery that can handle the added stress that the lower resistances and dual coils give. I recommend going with a 3.7V that has a 510 threading. Using a 510 connection will give you alot more options of things you can use for them, and you can always get an adapter so you can use the current KR808cartos you have now

the batteries I have are regulated at 3.7 volts so are you tellong me they wont last long enough? A am just a noob but can't understand the difference between one batt that opperates at 3.7 volts and another that opperates at the same voltage only difference is the mAh which just measures that my batt will be dead after one hour of use with a 380 mA load and a fat batt of 1000 mAh which shows it will be dead after one hour with a 1000 may load on it. Same voltage I must be missing something what is the difference mAh isjust a rating of how long a battery will last wonderful said load. A technical answer wont scare me awayi will be able to comprehend.

Battery ratings are a fairly advanced topic even for someone who has electronics education. It involve curves, or graphs, and most of the talk here is a simplification of the actual technical details. (Add in internal resistance, protection circuitry, C ratings, cut-off current, loaded voltage and it can take quite awhile to understand.)

Basically, keep away from anything less than 2.0 Ohms unless your battery is over 650mAh for the packaged batteries. (Things change a little bit when going to secondary cells like 14500's and such.)

I've been using LR material on ego-T batteries for months, having no problem at all.

These batts are 6 months old now and my wife still uses them, they still perform very well.

On an ego batt, you have to use the lowest resistance DC carto to have a satisfying vape, the 510 1.25 ohm DC cartos from smoktech are worth a try. Again, some people think it could damage the battery so do it at your own risk, I didn't experience any problem doing it.

Of course, you think you don't need a mod, but a lot of mods are simple to use and offer the best vaping experience. You'll get tired of cheap chinese material if you keep on vaping :)

Variable Voltage is the best thing to dig out in my opinion. Don't waste your time and money on cheap things that don't last.

It's not the volts, it's the amps. To run LR cartos you need at least 450 mah. My old eGo 900mah doesn't even like my DC 1.5ohm tank. It works best on my 2600mah mod. Many suggest that dual-coil only works well at 5v.

Sent from my easy chair using brainwaves.

Exactly what he said. The low resistance cartos draw too many amps and will damage a slim ecig battery. 1.5ohm is at the lower end too so they will draw even more amps. Voltage isnt the issue. Even though your slim ecig battery is 3.7V and my E-Power battery is 3.7V, my E-Power can handle the excess amps that the lower resistance cartos draw. Slim ecigs arnt designed to handle that excess of amps, and thats why they can only use standard resistance stuff. 1.5 and 1.7ohms can fry an eGo mosfet and thats why many recommend to not use below 2.0ohm, just to be safe. Some eGo users use below 2.0ohm and never have a problem, but many others have also fried an eGo using them. Thats why I said if you want to use them, consider getting a 3.7V PV bc they handle the lower resistances better than the eGo.
I agree too that dual coils really arnt that great at the lower voltages. They are alittle better on 3.7V PVs compared to an eGo, but their still nothing special. I find dual coils only really shine in the 4-5V range. If you want to use the lower ohms because you want a warmer vape, then youd be much better off with a LR single coil carto. A 1.5ohm Dual Coil is actually 2 3.0ohm coils so at the lower voltages the vapor production is okay, but its going to produce a cooler vape. A good 1.5 or 1.7ohm single coil will produce a much warmer vape and also wont drain your battery like a dual coil does.
I use the Smoktech 3.5ml tank on my E-power and even though my E-Power can handle the 1.5ohm dual coil that comes with the tank, I prefer a warmer vape and I dont like DCs at the lower voltages and also dont like that they drain my batteries alot faster so I took out the dual coil without using it and instead put in a 1.7ohm Ressurector which is single coil and like it alot more.

Personally I think using a 2.0ohm on a slim ecig is pushing what they can handle and I wouldnt use them, but thats up to you. They could def still damage your battery and kill it faster

Here is a link to the said tank in question. It is sold to use on there v4l batts the product discription lays it out and the batts are warrantied, its hard for me to believe theey would knowingly sell these for there batts knowing it will damage them and wind up having to replace them for free
808D Ecigarette Style - 3.5ml Dual Coil Tank
I'm going to call there tech department and get there take and will follow up. But I believe we have taken a turn off my original topic and questiins

The diamond series 45 day warranty may be fine. Maybe the diamond has a better MOSFET? Don't know as that site is not big into providing specifications.

There was an original topic?
I just got off the phone with there techie and he assured me the only thing this will do is shorten the life on the battery due to length of time between charges. Meaning if I use it on thebattery all the time I will reach my 300 cycles sooner. He did state it is not compatible with the 380 mAh single logo battery but they will offer some pre punched he thinks 2.2 2.5 and he thinks maybe even 3 ohm cartomizers for these tanks the power ofwitch he says may still be dual coils.

If you want to know more about why you can't use small batteries with a low ohm carto this is a good place to start:
Charles-Augustin de Coulomb's C-Rate for Batteries

It isn't just a matter of ruining the battery. If you try to draw more current than the battery is rated for you can damage the battery. Once you have a damaged battery you risking not just a shorter life but the possibility of a fire. Normally the protection circuit will prevent that but they don't always work and it does happen. It could be when you are vaping or charging the battery.
