so after i did my first build i made a post with a some pics and got a lot of tips from fellow members. i rewicked with less cotton, made sure my coils were at the same height and burning evenly, but i still feel like I'm doing something wrong. when i take a pull i just don't get an enjoyable flavor. and no matter what juice i drip onto my build i get almost the same exact flavor so i must be doing something wrong. my favorite juice is a strawberry blend from a local vendor. it has a very strong and pronounced fruity flavor yet when i drip it on my RDA i can barely taste the strawberry flavor. this happens with any juice that i use. it doesn't taste burnt and i honestly don't really know how to describe the taste i get. i almost feel like I'm getting some taste of the cotton and kanthal. its just overall not enjoyable for more than a puff or two. i make sure my cotton is completely saturated with juice. any ideas? ill include some pics of my current setup.

not enough cotton

middle pic, top row, I can see space between coil and wick.

cotton will shrink in the coil after it is saturated and heated several times. The top of the coil is drying out during your pulls giving you that wonky taste. put a denser wick in there and fire it up. Looks like you are using 24g wire, yes?

What resistance are you metering at? Looks like a .5 ohm build

not enough wick, dry coil and low ohms = nasty flavor after a pull or two.

i agree about the amount of cotton, not enough. in a tank system sometimes less maybe better but in a dripper, i error on more. i also would slightly decrease your coil diameter, in a dripper 1.5 to1.8 imo is best. also airflow is most important, make sure the flow comes in square onto the center of coils, not to much above or below as well. stock airholes? also are they 2 separate coils? seems like you have them like in a series maybe? and lastly, strawberry vapes are really hard at hi wattages, i have some strawberry vapes that just don't work period, in the past i beat myself up thinking it was the build or atty but then realized it was the juice. and lastly, what gauge are you using? it looks rather thick so i think your good but at least a 26g i would use.
