In my neverending search to find a decent tobacco flavor, I have failed once again. I know a lot of people love it, but Johnson Creek's "Red Oak" Domestic was what I tried this time. I'm sorry, absolutely terrible flavor - weak vapor, incredibly harsh/dry. The harshness hurt my throat every time, and I can't seem to get this liquid to work consistently in my atomizers. One hit will have vapor, the next will be exhaling nothing. In a brand new atty and cart. Made me gag every time, couldn't even use it.

Mrs. T's liquids are the only ones that seem to have the PG/VG flavor/vapor consistency that I like. Oh well...another tobacco flavor down. I guess I'll have to try the NHaler Octane now. I love Mrs. T's juices but I'm been getting tired of sweet treats every time I want to vape, but I don't know what else there is. If anyone can recommend something bold that would replace tobacco flavors, chime in. I have yet to find a robust, non-sweet e-liquid that I like. And I've now tried Cignot, Viking Vapor, Dekang, and now JC tobacco liquids. All of them were yuck!

Still almost 3 months smoke free. I'm not gonna go back to analogs, but I admit, I do get tired of vaping Snickerdoodle cookies every day. LOL!

I don't know what it is. The Johnson Creek liquid has a horrible smell to it, it doesn't seem appetizing at all. I've tried to vape it all this week in different configurations, new attys, new carts, Pyramid tea bag, new batteries - can't get anything good out of it. I gag every time! I don't know what the deal is, it's supposed to be this really expensive good "smoke juice" but it's practically the worst tobacco flavor I've tried!

Anyways, I'll give something else a shot. I have yet to try Totally Wicked or Tasty Vapor, or NHaler Octane. Would you guys get the cigarillo one?

I'd call the folks at JC and see if they will refund your money.

forget about trying to find a "true tobacco" flavor. It ain't gonna happen. Get some 555 - To me that's the closest to a satisfying vape which "Kind of" gives you a analog experience. Good luck

This is right on the mark. There's no way to make e-juice taste as bad as tobacco.

To the OP:

I usually refrain from making juice recommendations- and be warned I do not have a representative taste compared to most people. However I'm a tobacco flavor nut and that is all I vape. The one's I'm currently vaping are:

1. Freedom Smoke USA Max/Boro Ultimate, half flavor, 18mg.

2. Intellicig EcoPure: a Mix of Regular and Fresh (mixed myself) down to around 18mg.

3. Dekang Tobacco.

4. Freedom Smoke USA "FreedomSmoke" 24mg.

5. NHaler Octane High Voltage Refresh 10mg

Numbers 1, 2, and 3 are constant use for me. The other's are newish. None of them taste like tobacco.

However, these have been satisfying (to me). And while my tastes are not representative of a great many people, I think the idea should be to find something satisfying- these satisfy me.

I also have some DIY green tea I'm rationing. The only non tobacco flavor I vape.

Perhaps the hunt needs to go on?

Coffee flavors aren't sweet at all.

I second the coffee flavors. My favorite vape of all is Keoke coffee DIY. Easy to make, LorAnns sells the flavoring, the only thing else you need is nic juice. Some of the vendors make it, but I can't remember who off hand. It is so easy to make, I've never considered buying it premade.

True only if you're talking about the typical mass-market U.S. cigarette. Not true for high-end pipe tobacco and cigars. Of course, taste is a matter of taste :p, but as a general rule, good tobacco products aren't comparable to the std. U.S. brands of cigarettes.

Totally agree there. A Cohiba Robusto (The Real Article) puts anything we are vaping to shame.

Too bad it's tobacco :(

Yup. I love a good pipe tobacco, freshly made by an actuall Tobaccoist. I know of a shop locally that has a former Cuban national come in with his own leaves and hand roll cigars. Best cigar I've ever had. Puts Cohiba, Partagas, Romeo y Julieta all to shame. Almost makes me want to go back to smoking. lol

FWIW I too had trouble finding a tobacco flavor that came close to simulating the taste of my favorite brand of analog (Pall Mall Light 100's). I tried a half dozen or so with no luck. I thought I tried all of the dekang tobacco flavors but apparently missed one...Camel. I didn't like the Camel cigarettes much but they were ok in a pinch, guess thats why I didn't think to try it. In my opinion, the Camel Dekang tastes just like my old brand. I think some places carry it under different names like Kamel or Desert Ship or other similar names.

And one other thing, I found that some juices taste considerably different depending on what device your using. My French pipe tastes great out of my DSE601 or my cigars, but tastes like boiled monkey ... in my eGo. You might try some of the juices in other devices if you have em.

I like StrictlyEjuice.com, which is Dekang, something not everyon likes but, to me thier tobacco 36mg PG is as close to the analogs i used to smoke as there is. Okay so it was a sub generic filtered little cigar (Cheyenne and Supreme brands) but I smoked them for years and liked them, or leared to like them one so, for me the Dekang delivers. Dekang RY (Ruyan)4 is mild, sweet, vanilla like tobacco to me, but good and relaxing. It's never going to be exactly like analogs but, that isn['t the point, the point is you love it, even if it isn't tobacco flavor at all.

I believe you mean VG, not PG(PG doesn't come in 36mg from them). I agree, their 36mg VG tobacco is excelent. My favorite so far. But I don't believe their VG juice is dekang.

Alright, I admit that I have given my Cignot "Desert Ship" VG another shot. I like the flavor, but the nicotine/VG is just too high. I also kind of like the Marlboro 18mg prefilled carts. I know it's weird to like these over Johnson Creek, but I think that trying to emulate tobacco flavor directly is gross when compared to trying to make something good that sort of tastes like it. Johnson Creek's juice was like vaping mesquite steak seasoning.

I decided to give Vaporbomb a try because I've heard they have great tobacco. I'm trying desert ship "Camel" again, this time in 60/40 VG/PG (I like more VG because Mrs. T does hers that way and I love the perfect blend she has). Although I really wanted to try the 555, they were out of stock. Oh well, next time.
