Alright everyone im stuck on this one. I had some mint juice in a ce4 and had good vapor good TH and good flavor. I then filled my brand new vivi nova with the same juice and got a ton more vapor but almost no TH and a very muted flavor. Im running a vv and it was adjusted to match the ce4 and everywhere else. I dont get it, plus i would figure more vapor would equal more hit and flavor, whats happening here? Does a vivi need some break in or what?

I love the Vivis - regular and mini, but there are times when the flavor is muted.
I don't know why, and a lot of people have mentioned this. Sometimes the flavor
is excellent.

The answer to Buggs question might lead you to a better flavor. If you are using
the higher ohm atty for the Vivi, you might need to vape at a higher voltage. That
doesn't always fix it, but it's a good place to start. Other times, lower voltage may
bring the flavor out.

The draw can affect throat hit. If the draw is too airy or not airy enough, it can
make a difference. You can test it by looking at the connector to find the air holes.
You can block one of them by breaking off the tip of a toothpick in it. If that doesn't
help, you may need more air flow (I doubt that's the deal, but maybe). If you need
more air flow, you may have to enlarge the holes, but do that as a last resort, and
follow instructions from people who have done that. I haven't, but I think you can
find vids on YouTube.

Also, Vivis have a habit of darkening some liquid. When it does that, the flavor will
get dull and it's time to change the oil. Be sure to keep the heads clean and free
of gunk.

Good luck.

BTW - to me, the mini is a better vape than it's bigger brother; better flavor and
throat hit.

Yeah its going to take some breaking in to really bring out the flavor. Depends on the juice & how it settles with the coils too.

Also depends on the head's resistance. I find the Mini Vivi 2.4 ohm head to be less flavorful than the 1.8. I have to turn up the wattage quite a lot. Still, you always need a break in period, generally a couple of tanks. You can make it faster soaking it in rubbing alcohol and dry burning.

I could never get used to CE4, to me it lifts too much PG making my throat sore. I could barely taste the flavor.

Cotton sleeve? Where is this cotton sleeve?

There is a cylindrical ring that the coil sits inside of. My guess is that it serves to keep the coil centered in the assembly so that none of it may touch the metal surrounding it, which would create a short. I don't think it has any effect on flavor or vapor production.. just there as a safety.
