Can someone tell me a decently priced top to get more vapor and flavor? Im using what I believe is a CE4 clearo with an ego t 900mah battery at the moment and I get a slight flavor and with just a little vapor. Any recommendations?
You could experiment to see if one of the "better" clearos give you more vapor and flavor. Everyone will have their own favorites based on what they've used and had luck with, and it may not mean one model is better than the other, it just worked better for them. Some of the newer clearos are dual-coiled: Innokin iclear 16 & 30, Aspire BCC CE5 and Vivi Nova, Kanger Protank 3. In theory, two coils will make twice the vapor and give more flavor. These models also use replacement coil heads which will need to be replaced every 2 - 3 weeks.
I'd personally suggest to ditch the clearos and go with a cartotank. A little more learning curve and a little more to invest in at the beginning, but you'll get more flavor and more consistancy than with a clearomizer. Clearomizers depend upon tiny string wicks to bring juice to the heating coils; inadequate for moderate to heavy vaping IMHO. Cartomizers use a much bigger wicking material which totally surrounds the heating coil, allowing for the better flavor and more consistancy.
Could be you have an airflow issue going on with your CE4. If it sounds gurgly that's a heads up. Even if not it may still need a good cleaning to work at peak. And even then, these things do go bad eventually and will need to be replaced.
In all honesty I never got much flavor until I started rebuilding my own coils. However I do not recommend this to someone new to vaping. I think maybe you should check out something with a bit more power such Joyetech 510 Dripping Atomizer. Being low resistance (1.2 to 1.8 ohms) will automatically increase your vapor production and flavor as a byproduct.
If you want something really good look at the HH.357 Long Barrel. These are well known for having very good flavor and a long life span... assuming you do proper maintainence and cleaning. I've heard them compared to micro coils in an RDA which is what I prefer so they gotta be dang good, however I've not used one myself as I rebuild.
Sorry, no great tank-style suggestions for good flavor. Both the aforementioned attys are drippers and will need to have juice manually dripped on them every 3-4 puffs. Maybe not the most convenient, but they more than make up for it in flavor, vapor, TH, and satisfying vape experience.
Keep in mind your eGo will give you less and less of a vape as the battery is drained. A fully charged battery always has more "oomph!" Good luck!

I couldn't agree more.
When I started vaping I used a cig-alike with pre-filled carto's. I learned to refill them and thought the flavor was awesome.
Then I upgraded to an eGo with a ce4 and thought the taste was even more amazing. But I found they had to be cleaned/replaced more often than I liked in order to keep that amazing flavor.
I soon upgraded to clearo's with top and bottom wicks. Some had great flavor, some didn't, and I personally prefer a bottom feeder. But they lasted longer than the ce4's and eventually I figured I could learn to rebuild the coils and wicks.
Not long ago I found out about using cotton as wicking, and was blown away! I had no clue how much flavor I was missing out on!
Last but not least I always saw everyone raving about the awesomeness of dripping, and how much cleaner and better the flavor was. I thought it was a lot of hype and personal preference, but on a whim I bought a RDA that was on sale (under $5) just to test my DIY mixes. I figured it would just be easier than cleaning out my tanks and changing the wick with each new flavor. I was honestly shocked when I tried it the first time. I learned that I was making my juice extremely strong to compensate for the muted flavor I was getting from everything I had used before a dripping atty.
So yeah, take your time and find out what's best for you since taste is subjective. And don't jump into anything until you understand how it works (lots of reading around here will teach you everything you need to know in no time) if you're new. But hands down nothing beats the flavor of a dripping atty, especially when recoiled and wicked with cotton.
I don't think dripping would work for me as I do a lot of driving around on bumpy back roads for work. Do cartomisers use up a lot of juice? Can you recommend a couple to look at? Also can you get cartos and attys(sounds like a good way to sample flavors) that fit the ego batteries(I plan to upgrade to a variable voltage)?
I'd recommend the Iclear 30 or the Iclear 16,,,,,,dual coils, so there's far more vapor and more flavor,,,,and very easy, even for a beginner to use, clean and dry burn,,,,,,
I'd go ahead and use the 1.8 ohms heads, though, if you're using a regulated 3.7 ego right now,,,,,,later, when you have VV, you can change those heads for the 2.1 ohms.
