MOSFET Question

Hey,

I'm interested in purchasing an unregulated, parallel box mod. I've been using dna's (most currently, DNA 40) and other regulated devices for a while. I also have a couple mechs that I use on a regular basis. I have several authentic VTC4 and 25r batteries. My question though, is how does a MOSFET protect the device? Do battery ratings not matter as much if you have a 194 amp MOSFET inside? For example, and in the most extreme situation, what would happen if I tried to run a 0.1 ohm build in an unregulated, parallel MOSFET box with like 10 amp batteries? Does the MOSFET carry the load? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I just haven't found much info on this on google.

the mosfet is used as a remote switch; you thumbswitch controls the mosfet, and the mosfet is the real switch controlling the current to the coil.
The big current does not go through the thumbswitch.

It's like the starter switch in your car which controls the solenoid switch to the starter motor

ok, so i'm not very familiar with this some of this technical terminology. i'm wondering how some companies advertise their device being safe to use down to 0.08. wouldn't that not depend on the box mod so much as the batteries being used in the device?

the batteries would be more important yes.

after the batteries, there's any wiring and contact issues/voltagedrop;

The mosfet(s) act as a remote switch. The fire button only has to be able to handle a very small amount of current to switch the
mosfet(s) on. The mosfet(s) carry the high amp load that is required to operate your atomizer. Some mosfets can handle 100 amps or more. There is no "off the shelf" push button available that can handle over 5 to 10 amps, so that is why mosfets are used.
The current box mod I am using has two mosfets, each rated at 150 amps.

They are saying the UNDERRATED SWITCH you are protecting with the Mosfet will not melt.. The Mosfet does NOT protect any other part of the device. It protects the circutry of the device FROM the battery and coils affects.. It doesn't protect the coil or battery.
