MOSFET questions

I need some clarification on a few things. I like to be 100% before I use something.

First off im looking at using the Irlb3036 MOSFET. This is an N channel correct? How do I tell N channel from P channel?

Also does anyone have I diagram so that I can wire a lighted fire switch with a MOSFET? That is if it is possible.

The IRLB3036 would be a N-channel MOSFET. Usually the data sheet will mention if not going to any reputable seller, such as Mouser, will let you identify the component.

It is certainly possible to use a lighted switch with a MOSFET. I do not currently have an available diagram, but someone else may come along with one. I'll try to make a quick diagram when I have a minute.
