so my lil brother recently started smoking...i wasn't too thrilled considering how hard it's been for me to quit. when he saw my ecig he liked that it looked somewhat realistic, and the effects of vaping vs smoking analogs appeal to him. my question is what ecig is out there that is a reasonable price and comparable to the shape and size of an analog cigarette. i got suckered into buying the "popular" ones, thank god for the 30 day warranty. i also prefer the realistic looking ecig but have also had to sacrifice battery life for it. has anyone found one that they like that might fit his needs so i can get him off analogs for good? battery life, comes second to look. i'm sure when he gets into it more he'll want to expand his collection but for now i just want to get his foot in the door. thank guys!

My opinion for most authentic would be the M series. Made by Smoore in China, their direct outlet is:

No.1 Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes|E-Cigarette|Best Electronic Cigarette Manufacturer|E-Liquid|Mseries E-Cigarettes

The atomizers that came with my 401 starter kit had a bad taste to them that took a while to vape out of them, but the two I got from Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA vaped nice right out of the package. That's odd because they were all made by Smoore. The first ones vape nice now, though. The 403 is almost as small as a king size cigarette, but the 401 is only a little bigger than a 100mm cigarette. They have other cigarette sized models, but I haven't tried them. Lot's of folks like them.

Just avoid the KR808D-2 models. KR808D-1 is far easier to customize and comparison shop for if that's the route you go with.

It doesn't really matter what we think of the kit. If that's what the person feels that they want, that's what they want. They may only use it a week or two, maybe longer but get an inexpensive model if you're getting any mini. Just don't fall for the brand names because a small battery equals a short battery life regardless. You may stretch an hour out of a different brand but not much more than that.

I think the idea of having something that looks like a cigarette can be really important to people. My first ecig was/is like that and although having read stuff on here and have got something a little less like a ciggie I still like to use my lookalike.

The reason is psychological. I didn't want to quit smoking initially. If I did I would have gone to the doctors and found other ways. What I wanted to was enable me to continue on my cutting down and to give me a substitute for when I can't smoke or when I was finding myself increasing my cigarette usage.

I found it easier not to smoke if I had something at hand which looked like a cigarette. Having moved within a week to something that looks like a pen I have found it harder to stay off the analogues. I haven't had many but I haven't found it as easy. I conclude that it's because I "need" to feel I'm smoking even if I'm not.

So if someone is wondering if they would like to try this out I would recommend a lookalike and then get them interested in all the other stuff that goes with it.

My next move is to try flavours. I'm still smoking one or two cigarettes but I can now go hours without one and vaping is on an equal footing. I couldn't have gone from cigarettes to vanilla/chocolate/coffee pen sucking straightaway because that would have been too great a leap.

Yes but if truly autentic looking then it is the same diameter as a cigarette and with those, within 4 weeks they will give up on ecigs or buy something better. I bought 2 things better within 3 weeks.

The smallest I recommend is a White body / red LED Joye 510 MANUAL (sealed end) (see Cignot.com) and use tan Boge cartomizers with it to look like a filter (you MUST use standard resistance, not LR, see NiteLiteVapor.com). The cartomizer replaces both the atomizer and the cart of the 510 turning it into 100mm device that looks exactly like a cig except for being slightly thicker. Battery life 180mah or about 1.8 hours or moderate vaping. A good PCC can be found at NoSMokeVA.com.

You have to fill the cartomizers yourself and thin juices work best and keep the carto working well longest. Keep the carto damp w/ juice to get 1 week or more good use out of one. And to test juices use the atty and carts or drip tip (drip time OK since it's a manual)

Manual does have a button on the barrel - more control of the hit, less work, and as I said 510 manual has totally sealed end and is safe from carto leaks.

Haveing an analog "look-a-like" is also important to me.
I don't want to be puffing on something that looks like a police Mag-Light in public or in front of my kids.
Tokeing off a strange box at a school function can become bothersome to some conserned parents. :)

Looking like you're smoking a cigarette isn't bothersome to concerned parents?

Depends on what your goal is. If it's to make a fashion statement, get the cig look alike. Personally, considering how people feel about cigarette smokers it's the last thing I want people to think. If it's to quit smoking cigarettes, go for the ecig that replicates what a cigarette delivers. BTW, an ego is about the size of a sharpie.

A opinion I have heard many times and perhaps a opinion I shared when I started.....also a opinion MOST will change and later regret. Just a natural progression.....to be clear I said most!!

I'd recommend a KR808d-1.
However when he gains some knowledge he'll learn to ditch the useless little "realistic" batteries and go with something that might have more than an hour of charge life..... and power.

I've been using kr808d-1's since day one... two years ago. Ive gained all sorts of knowledge and have yet to find another e-cig to take its place. Sure I have a Go-Go, an rn-4075, and an M401 and 403.
The M-series sits collecting dust. I dont wanna fool around with paper clips and little filters. The Go-go is my back up if I run low on Kr carto's, or if I just want to switch it up, and the RN is my evening e-cig.

If your kr's arent lasting more than an hour, might I suggest getting some new batteries.
