I think they have been available since around March. They are identical in every way to a bloog except considerably cheaper. Steeljan has a video which can attest to that. Don't you just love her. I do. <3

Sure I like her reviews. I think she's great.

I'm not all that impressed by a lot of u-tube reviews in general considering most (not all) of the people doing the reviews get the stuff for free. Not saying they're lying.

I'm not saying that the Volt isn't great. It probably is. People on the board who's opinion I respect seem to think so. But I got caught up once in reading great reviews for something that had just come out and I got burnt. Now I take a wait and see approach, and I'll give a new product at least 3-4 months before I try it.

But unless someone has been around since ecigs came out and have tried them all, I don't think people should post that a particular brand is the best PV on the market. Especially if the person has only tried one or maybe two pvs.

This isn't directed to you personally, just in general. There is no 'best' pv. The best pv is the one that the person uses that gets them off cigs. And that could be anything from the best mod to the cheap gas station brand.

LOL, direct your comments to me because they don't read offensively. Um, I don't recall saying that the Volt was the "best." I'd have to have tried all the other options to make that assertion which I have not. But, I can say they seem to be pretty good. My recommendation was solely based on the request of the OP which was "ecig is out there that is a reasonable price and comparable to the shape and size of an analog cigarette." And, in my opinion, that's the Volt. And, right, there is no best pv.

As far as reviewers are concerned, I couldn't agree more. I have been burnt so many times, and have wasted hundreds of dollars because something new came out and everyone raved about it. Arrrrg! Curse you eGo-T, eGo-T(b), eGo-T(LR), 510-T, 510-T(LR)!!! LOL, and actually, (prepare for sacrilege) curse you Reo Mini! (that's another discussion). I feel some reviewers are nothing more than hype machines.

Vaping is a very personal journey, as corny as that sounds.

I ordered a couple of "free" e-cigs for $4.95 shipping, and they've been great out of the box. I used a single-use cc number (you can get an app for this from your credit card website). They phoned to try and upsell me the moon, but saying "no" did the trick.

Both of the "free" e-cigs were 510's as far as I can tell (I'm a newbie to this), and they vape quite well the little time that I've used them.

I also bought a dual eGo kit, and have vaped the heck out of them.

I'm very pleased with ALL over analogs.

If you want something REALLY cheap, try the "free" kits with a single-use CC so they can't bill you for anything extra. If you want to just go for it, then shop the recommended options here. These forum folks know their vape stuff. ;)

Haveing an analog "look-a-like" is also important to me.
I don't want to be puffing on something that looks like a police Mag-Light in public or in front of my kids.
Tokeing off a strange box at a school function can become bothersome to some conserned parents. :)

But how will you EVER get cigarettes out of your head if you insist on puffing on something JUST LIKE one? I mean, you're not fooling yourself...

I used to use one too. But then I got over it.
You'll get there soon. Just gotta get over the noob hump. Something like what you call a mag light (a little exageratted but whatever) has more power and better batt life. They are much better. That way you won't still be obsessing over the stinkies.

so i'm pretty set on the volt with pcc bundle, only 64.95 with a 30 day warranty. they have the same policy as blu, just pay shipping and they'll send you a refund. already got some juice on the way, and am looking to buy the bro some blank cartos for it. don't know what i wouldn't done with out the input, thank you!

Good choice!

I agree with most on here that you'll probably want to eventually move to a bigger battery toy eventually, but what you ordered is basically the same system I bought, and I'm approaching 2 whole months smoke free because of it!

I think people underestimate the importance of having an analog style ecig. It may be a "noob thing", but it's also a quitting smoking thing. I for one love my mod, and use my 808's less and less, but only because I cracked the cigarette habit with my bloog first.

So anyway, for what little it's worth, I for one, think you made a great choice with the volt, and hope you have the same success that a lot of us have had with these products!

Cheers

I've been using kr808d-1's since day one... two years ago. Ive gained all sorts of knowledge and have yet to find another e-cig to take its place. Sure I have a Go-Go, an rn-4075, and an M401 and 403.
The M-series sits collecting dust. I dont wanna fool around with paper clips and little filters. The Go-go is my back up if I run low on Kr carto's, or if I just want to switch it up, and the RN is my evening e-cig.

If your kr's arent lasting more than an hour, might I suggest getting some new batteries.

So many people agree yet I guess I'm still wrong?
I recommended the KR. They're the only ones that get any kind of useful batt life. All the others suck IMO.
You can't argue that ANY OTHER PV OUT THERE has more power and batt life than those worthless little *piff* sticks. Sorry.
And NO, I won't be buying any new batteries. The mods I have work way better.

Poor OP, you must be so confused...

Here's what I think. If you want a cigarette look a like, the volt/bloog is the only way to go. These guys with 300000 posts probably haven't tried an 808 since '98, and still talk about primer puffs and such nonsense, always seem to dump on the 808's. If you really think a mini 510 is better then a bloog or volt you probably haven't tried one yet.

Watch YouTube reviews, and don't let people bully you into buying an ego just because it's what most people started with. Get what works for you, and when cigarettes are behind you, then maybe consider getting a mod or fun toy.

Good luck op!

I'd say you're the noob that's confused.
You'll learn.
Good luck!

Excuse me sir, but what about that sounded confused to you?

Is there something about your opinion that makes it more valuable then mine here?

IMHO, it's people like you that ruin this site for new members, by taking jabs at people, and posting crap that has nothing to do with the thread at all.

Or maybe it's just another excuse to brag about your stupid mods and feel like some hero. This is about some guy trying to quit smoking, not a popularity contest thankfully.

Thanks for your helpful contributions.

I generally like your posts but I have to concur with the previous poster. I thought it was pretty rude to say regarding the long time member's who seem to go out of their way to help new members out. Maybe that's why so few seem to stick around and answer questions.

Maybe they're opinion differs not because they haven't used the model you're recommending but have used it. Or read countless threads on the board about people saying they're sorry they got something with a small battery.

I wasn't criticizing him, or anyone an particular. Just sharing my experience, and I had the same problem when I was researching for my first starter kit. I'd ask for an analog look a like, and within 6 posts it turned into a mod argument.

I realize and respect the experience of the senior members, but it doesn't mean they're infallible either. I don't question his knowledge, but taking a stab at me for no real reason, and posting confusing sarcasm really does nothing to help anyone.

I also have a fancy mod now, but I swear if I had bought that as my first device, I'd still be smoking. Just couldn't crack the cig habit unless it looked and felt right at first. Sounded like the op has the same concerns, and I shared what little I know so far to try and help.

Anyways no harm intended, especially considering he appears to be a fellow musician lol, I just get frustrated here sometimes I guess. Sorry dudes.

I've been vaping for 2 years, and a KR808 is still my rig of choice. I've never been disappointed, and with the newer carto designs coming out they just keep getting better. I also have Ego batteries and like them with cartos, but I still like something near "cig-like" when I'm out and about. I say near because I absolutely prefer a blue LED so there no mistaking it for a burning cigarette.

I used a 510 when I was starting out, I loved it for the size, and I still miss the whistle tips. But, at the time, I was not aware of any 510 cartomizers, so I switched to the 808 for the convenience.

My biggest interest at the moment is in the newer auto batteries and the upcoming CE3 cartomizers.

Thing is, I liked analogs. I like sitting with something hanging in my mouth as I type on my computer, takeing a puff as I want.
Analog clones with auto batteries is what works for me. Used a manual 510, didn't like it (I still use the one I have left, but not likely to replace it).

Sure, I would like my batteries to last a bit longer, so I might consider something larger for when I'm driving. In my experiance, I spend about as much time changing batteries as I did fumbleing for lighters.

In the 6 months I have been analog free, I've seen bigger exagerations on these boards then refering to the size of a PV to a flashlight (i.e. tail-pipe, Transmition...). Considering I've seen mods that someone converting flashlight into a PV, so I don't feel to bad there.
