I am not a fan of the hammer style mods, I just want something small to go with my Kayfun lite. The fortune and ant seem nice but I'm looking for something that won't be difficult to get or cost a lot. I know the Tree of Life isn't the smallest mod but I guess I kinda like the way it looks despite. No opinion on the GP Paps?

I am not interested in a Provari, I already have several VV mods and not really a big fan of the looks of the Provari, plus I don't want to spend that much either. I do have some additional questions however.

It seems like most people prefer a magnetic firing button.. can someone explain why this is better? Does it just feel better or press smoother or is there something else about it? Would you recommend switching to a magnetic switch if that is an option? Can you turn any mod's firing button into a magnetic one?

Also... is there a difference between the material used for the connection pin or whatever? Like brass, silver, copper? Should I prefer any one in particular or is it not that much difference? Are there clones I should avoid at all costs, or ones that have overall negative reviews/feedback?

At this point, I am open to suggestions for other mods, as long as there is a 18350 mode and is 22mm in diameter, and doesn't have the ribbed/grooved look all the way through. Is there anything else that fits that bill? And one last thing... I notice some mods have reverse locking and others don't. Is reverse locking better or what does it mean really? Is there a different type of locking??

Thanks! Actually, I am looking at more mods now and the Turtleship seems nice as well as the King style mod. I suppose I am no longer locked into the "smallest" looking mod, for the most part a few milometers isn't that big of a deal I guess if the other aspects of the mod make up for it.

Even tho many seem to like magnetic buttons, I don't think it's that important.. A good button is a good button whether it's magnetic or not. Take the Paps; considered to have one of the best buttons around. It's spring loaded. You can't make a poor design good by using magnets, and you can't make a good design bad by using springs. How the moving parts of a button interact with the non-moving parts is more important to the general feel of it.

Reverse locking ring may or may not be a gimmick. If the locking ring is part of the detachable button assembly, it may cause annoyances whether it's reversed or not. Tighten a non-reversed locking ring too much when locking it, and you'll unscrew the button. Tighten a reversed locking ring too much when locking; you'll unscrew the button when you unlock it.

Just one mans very personal opinion!

Chipotle.
Fortune mod looks like the best small mech mod. The Ant from Israel also looks good but it's 1mm taller. 1mm so who cares. 4nine I have and it's ok but I only use it for kayfun type attys. It's not a cloud blower mech because it's made for button tops.
You can use flat tops with the 4nine, so long as the positive pin of the atomizer sticks out at least 1mm from the edge of the 510 connection. I have taken the center pin out of an atomizer and put a small o-ring on it to space it out slightly further, this will allow you to use a flat top 18650 with mods like the 4nine or fortune with no fear of hard shorting the negative to the positive. I have a custom mod that I made that has a hybrid style top cap where the atomizer directly contacts the battery much like the 4nine and I am able to use flat top 18650s with it using the above method.

All things considered as far as buttons go I highly prefer a recessed or flush bottom fire mod due to no need for any locking mess like the fortune, just a clean nice tube. One of my more used mods is recessed bottom fire and I just really like the simplicity and smoothness of no locking ring on the bottom.

I recently ordered a provari mini (satin silver) to go with my kfl+. It looks like it may be a good match but haven't received it yet so can't say for sure.

ProVari and Kayfun work so well that its a classic combo now.

GP Paps is great of course.

And they say this doesn't go on.

Provari isn't even close...........in terms of Thread topic:

The Atmizoo Roller in 18350 is the smallest mech I have ever owned or even had in my hand. I don't have a pic of mine in 18350 but here it is in 18650 and it's still small so you get the idea. 22mm as well.

Ok, after MUCH MUCH agonizing deliberation, I think I am going to buy the HCigar Nemesis clone in SS off of ebay for now. It was not my first choice as far as aesthetics go and also because I feel like everyone has one, however, none of my friends are hardcore vapers so it's not like we'd all be using the same mod and not feeling unique or something. And the fact that so many people here have one must say something right? It's flexible, simple, and hopefully well made and a good intro mech for someone who has only owned VV mods. HCigar does make the best Nemesis right?

I am getting a magnetic switch for it and ordering the hybrid kit off of Fasttech as well as a new charger, additional batteries, and miscellaneous crap.

Ugh, I haven't even ordered this mod yet and I am already thinking about what I would get next. This is terrible... for my wallet. I do like the Caravela but all the complaints I've heard about the switch is turning me off from it. I want something that I don't have to fuss with too much for now. Do you think this is the best choice for myself or should I just get the Tree of Life clone from Infinite?
