If there's no nicotine and you smoke at least a pack a day you'll still smoke cigarettes. You can get nicotine with patches and gum but not vapor. And many here are hardcore smokers that tried the patches and gum with no success yet have either cut way down or quit with ecigs. So.......

1. Nicotine
2. Vapor

After awhile those could reverse in order, but not at first.

I'm not a huge fan of throat hit. I have some prefilled tobacco flavour cartos which have massive TH, and they're ok, but I love my menthol prefilled cartridges. Both produce large clouds of vapor, depending on the lighting and how much I drag, sometimes more "smoke" than an analog. And flavour is very important to me. I have some Green Cow liquid from Totally Wicked which I want to love (caffeine, guarana and nicotine in a liquid has to be good!) but it tastes of nothing to me so I rarely vape it.

Two years ago it would have been:

1: Throat hit
2: Vapor
3: Flavor

It has changed over time, now I'd say:

1: Flavor
2: Vapor
3: Throat hit

Really at the top of the list now is convenience....it needs to be reliable (work every time) and simple (don't want to mess with it throughout the day). At home I don't mind fiddling a bit, but at work I need to be able to grab a couple drags here and there for the nicotine fix, and I'll sacrifice any of 1, 2, and 3 to get that.

Vapor (with lots of nicotine) is number one with me, followed by flavor, and TH a distant third.

I'm with Stosh, although more of medium nic; but it's still gotta be there. I don't like TH; but with VG I get what I call a 'lung hit' when I inhale and that seems to be part of what I need.

Flavor hands down, vapor isnt that huge to me. Throat hit is fine if a good mg I use 18 mg and it works. I figure 18 mg is equal to a analog 7 mg.

which aspect of vaping is the most important in keeping you off analogs:
1) flavor
2) throat hit (the feeling of inhaling a cig)
3) vapor production
I left off healthier choice as that is why we tried vaping in the 1st place

My choice: 2 (why i smoked)> 1 (an unexpected positive to vaping)> 3 ( i actually don't like clouds of vapor filling the room)

Welcome to vaping. Glad you are here :)

Well uhhh, I'm a nicotine addict so...it's proper level of nicotine and the power to deliver it (throat hit).

I think one of the biggest things to me is actually the variety. I'm still having a blast collecting juices, trying out new ones, reading reviews, and so on. If there was only one juice, even if it was delicious, had a great throat hit, and produced clouds of vapor, I'm not sure quitting cigs would have been this easy. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, maybe that would have still been good enough, but it would have been boring. The concept of finding an "all day vape" is a little weird to me, because I wouldn't be even slightly interested in reducing the variety.
