The further an e-cig gets away from the analog's shape, the more aesthetically displeasing it becomes. Take, for example, box mods. No matter how much one carves, colors or paints them, they still look like a box; and a person using one, like a kid sucking out of his juice box. Thankfully, they are a fad that won't last long. C'mon engineers, not all of you are artistically challenged.

I actually love my 2 box mods.
The Ali'i has a very nice feel and the way the wood is curved so that it is not boxy is just wonderful when holding it in my hand. The wood grain and workmanship is very nice.
The Phidias is my other box mod and is a bit more boxy feeling yet the workmanship and wood colors are amazing also.
Now mind you, the only wood furniture I have in my home is a headboard in the upstairs room and the legs on my dining & breakfast room chairs. I am not a wood person. I adore my wood box mods, they just aren't for every one.

I guess that's what makes horse races. Just like with juices, your taste an mine are different. But I do understand, when I first started I really didn't think I'd ever break with the analog look (I got smoketips) but now I have 3 boxes and I think they are quite handsome - two monkeyboxxes and one reo grand. I am proud bringing them out to vape - really. I also have a cameleon and a P18, two tube mods which, again, I feel are classy looking.

Function > form for me anyhow.

I want something I can run over, drop, flood, accidentally dry burn and have it keep coming back for more abuse. With cigs I didn't worry about it, I drown a pack, or crush em just run to a store and buy more...with these devices you often pay a premium for hardware, that hardware should be nigh on bulletproof, cause u can't just walk into a gas station and replace it.

Anything looks better than an ashtray full of butts, or better yet the outdoor coffee can ashtray.

I realize how hard people work on things like the GLV3, graphics included, and so I make these observations with a heavy heart ... well, only sort of. Nevertheless, the GLV3 also is ugly. It looks like a medicare-qualified device for the sick, and that is what it will resemble to others when you whip it out and take a drag. I hear they also are making a brass-knuckle version ... just kidding.

When you get tired of switching batteries all day, everyday and want massive hits that are the same for hours on end, you'll get a mod. Then you'll come onto ecf and argue about how great it is and how cig sized ecigs don't get the job done. Just wait.

As far as box mods go, it is what it is. A bit big? Sure. But nothing beats just picking it up and going about your day. I'll go with function over looks any day of the week. This isn't a fashion show ya know. It's about finding something to keep you off the stinky sticks.

Why would I want ANYONE to think I am still smoking?? Many of us like the idea that our PV not only performs much better than the little analog sized devices but looks nothing like an analog. So-called style over performance is way over rated.

I don't even think I have ever seen a box mod... I did see a very large (a little bigger then a highlighter) sized one on U Tube that produced a ton of vapor. I am not sure what that was, but this V4L is working for me since it has litterally been 24 hours since my last analog LOL I'm such a newbie!

It's all good man. I'm puffin on a V4L 380Mah as we post. But using it for my main vape? I've been down that road, and I prefer a 8 to 12 hour battery to have around. After a year plus of using these things, ease of use is very important in my book. I really like this 808, so don't get me wrong. It's just not a work horse like an 18650 battery, or even a much smaller 14500.

I think you are being way too logical!
