I'm perfectly happy with my IGO-L with a natural hemp wick...
I see no reason to spend more than that on a rba dripper.

But then again I have no plans to go back to Mechanical mods, or do sub-ohm coils...
I don't need Huge Clouds of vapor, just a good throat hit, Flavor, and taste... And I can do that with a single 1.5 ohm coil at 3.9 volts on any mod I have...

A lot of these rebuildable drip atty's are overpriced for what they are. Considering you can find machined drip atty's with finger tightening screw heads for under $20.00, I cannot understand why you would pay over 50 bucks for a drip atomizer.

Does this mean any car more than $20K is over priced?
Is any piece of art more than $100 over priced?
Is anything more than basic cable a waste of money?
Is anything more than basic dial up internet a waste of money?
Is any bottle of wine over $2.99 over priced?

It's a nonsense argument. Just because someone doesn't see the value in something doesn't have any thing to do with it being over priced. Just because something can be made cheaper doesn't mean another product is over priced. Price value is in the eye of the beholder and their wallet.

Totally break down a Chinese one and a $70.00 one and let's compare apples to apples.

Hey it's just my opinion, of you want to spend that kind of money on a accessory that's your business.

Personally, I prefer to spend money like that on other things.

Different strokes I guess.

Exactly if you have a 63" TV someone is shaking their head at you saying what a wast of money. If you have nice rims and tires on your car same thing. We all have our little excesses we enjoy I think very few of us can point the finger with out 3 pointing back.

If you strip it down why do any of us care what someone else spends their money on? Is it not their money? Why do we need to have an opinion period about what someone else buys?

Why arent we happy when some one buys something that gives them a small since of satisfaction?

I think the issues come into play when people knock the clones and their cheap price. Honestly, buy or smoke what you want as long as it is within the laws. If you want to pay 600 bucks for a mod, it's your money. Just don't whine about the clones. If you look at the high priced mech mods they are all clones of each other anyway, just higher priced clones.

Just because something is expensive and high end doesn't mean it is necessarily a good design. A lot of high end stuff is actually questionable design, maybe overcomplicated and lacking in some areas of performance design (e.g. the Ithaka, Amp tank). BUT that does not mean it is not worth the price, or perhaps to the point, it doesn't mean they are overcharging for the product ... production costs in the west, especially for small batch produced items, can be quite high, and running a business in the west is much more costly, especially a small one.

What don't you like about your Ithaka?

And just because it's a clone does not necessarily mean it's not a quality mod. Every eGo battery on the market is a Joyetech clone, but a great many of them seriously better than those made by Joyetech

Dear God I love this hobby! Isn't it awesome that y'all can have a discussion like this? We are all not smoking and loving it our own way. I know, it's a bit koombya, but you have to admit it's awesome! Something for everyone, from disposable gas station e-cigs to 'porsches'.

This industry is in its infancy, stay tuned for more price shock, both high and low
:2cool:

Yeah, and just look at how much I've saved on smokes:

the need of NR/R wire is a problem for me too on the ithaca. high end devices, cheap clones. the AMP tank was full of issues when it first came out ( i don't know if they resolved them latter ) and everybody was willing to understand and forgive, but as soon as 15$ chinese mod has a problem many people start flaming everything china does down to the ming dynasty

The design of the core sucks, need for NR wire and there's nothing you can really do about some major issues, such as airflow through the core. Way too many parts in the design, no design economy.

My Ithaka is my everyday vape Ive been vaping the same 1.6 OHM micro dual coil set up for 2 months. I enjoy making up the NR, R wire coils. Nice vapor and flavor. Again its all in what each person is in to I have not found a clearo I liked but lots of people seem to enjoy them.
