OK, so I've just come back from the dentist and I have never been so motivated in my life! Last week, I went to her with a very nasty mouth infection and this week she scaled and polished my teeth which included removing the nasty stain on my front right tooth. This stain had been upsetting me for a long time but I knew the only way to get rid of it was to overcome my fear of dentists and get it removed by them and the only way to keep rid of it was by not smoking (maybe cut down on the teas and coffees but, y'know, one thing at a time!).

Today, I have had that stain removed and I have a viable alternative to smoking that hopefully wont stain my teeth as bad.

My teeth still aren't perfect- I'm sure you Americans would hate my teeth!- but they're infinitely better and now I can't stop smiling! I want to keep this smile and this is going to be my motivation for never touching another analogue!

I feel pwetty, oh so pwetty!x

My teeth were never perfect...had a very noticeable gap and a couple were crooked. Unfortunately one of my horses that he was a dentist (his name was Doc after all) and after receiving his worm medicine he head butted me (guess ut didn't taste like apples after all) and solved the gap and crooked teeth problem. Now I have nice straight teeth. But even with them smoking would stain them.

Keep up the vaping and keep smiling, I would rather see a happy smile on a girl with teeth that aren't perfectly straight than a grumpy girl with perfect choppers.

Not to hijack this thread (it's a good subject!) but that story reminds me about my poor teeth. My parents spent a lot of money having my teeth straightened and "perfect" when I was a kid. Then, some 28 years later, during a disagreement with my S.O....I was tripped and fell face first on the hard floor. Knocked a nice big gap in my parent's investment in tooth perfection, but the tooth hung in there. For several years after that I had a gappy smile. Then one day, while playing with my miniature poodle we were romping and I reached down to grab a toy and he jumped up in excitement simultaneously. It was a case of our two velocities..his head and my mouth... meeting in the middle with painful consequences. I'm sure his head hurt. But the gap in my smile was fixed! Instant orthodontics!

I chipped my front tooth on my 11th birthday. they stick it back on, but a few years later i had to have a root canal on it.

Now at 28 that tooth is decidedly battered looking, especially since the work didn't stain the same color as the rest of my teeth. But now that i've quit smoking, it may be worth it to get it crowned since my teeth won't stain as bad. I don't think two cups of coffee a day is enough to give me a multicolored smile. C:

I used to have a bad problem with stains on my teeth and went for cleaning every 3 mos. I thought it was the coffee and tea I drink constantly. After quitting smoking last year, I found it was mainly the smoking. Now I go in every 6 mos and the stain is barely there. I also started using the colgate optic white toothpaste. My dentist was amazed at the change and wanted more info on ecigs for other patients.
