So about a year ago i noticed my poor teeth were starting to look really bad, I have a medical condition that requires long term antibiotics so my doctor chalked the ugly teeth up to the medicine making my teeth more vulnerable to tartar, but not being able to afford to go to the dentist there was really nothing I could do. It got worse and worse to the point where my 5 year old kept telling me that my teeth were dirty (I had to keep telling him that my teeth were sick) and it was destroying my self esteem. Imagine my surprise and delight when i happened to notice a few days ago (3 weeks after switching from skoking to vaping) that my teeth losing all the stains and are nearly completely white again! WooHoo! Now that was an unexpected and VERY welcome surprise bonus from getting off the stinkies. I knew quitting could keep my teeth from getting worse, but I had no idea that it could also help my teeth to look dramatically better! Yay!
Has anyone else seen stains that seemed impossible to get rid of begin to vanish after getting off smoking cigarettes?

Hi Kittybear, and welcome!

My dental hygenist used to have to go downstairs and get "the big gun" which was a powered teeth cleaner, for my teeth. The inside of my bottom front teeth would be so covered in tar. This was despite the fact that I have always been fanatical about brushing, flossing and rinsing. Now she is amazed at how quick and easy it is to perform my cleanings. The list of terrible affects from smoking is a long one.

Congrats on kicking smoking, and make a special note of all things like this to remind you of why it's so great that you quit!

That's where the absolute worst of my buildup was too, and where I see the biggest improvement! If I could get a professional cleaning my teeth might actually look pretty good right now! Well except for some broken ones in back, but that's a whole other issue that won't be fixed as easily. LOL

It's like a blinding solar flare these days when i look in the mirror... i have been mistaken for Jaws, the 007 extra, due to my bling white teeth..
The browness is going Yay!
LOL I'm not quite blinding people with my smile yet, but years ago I used to so maybe one day I can again! :)
