I am on the couch mostly with the laptop in my lap, watching TV, holding conversations, etc. and when I have to type I set mine down. And promptly "lose" it. As funky as it sounds, I am thinking I may just need a lanyard. If it is connected it won't end up 1) on the couch to be sat upon 2) in the laundry room, abandoned when I put the clothes away 3) in the kitchen where I went to get a drink .... you get the picture.
